The following video could help dispel the myth which the mainstream media is peddling that men and women are exactly the same on the inside (clones), and merely have different containers on the outside (an outty and an inny) and it's up to you how you want to "identify". This could not be further from the truth. The fact is that there are probably more differences than similarities.

Where does the mainstream media push this idea?

I edited to the OP just now to make it more clear. It's all throughout the mainstream my friend. From music videos, to TV shows and movies, sporting events, schools, corporations, and even in politics. The bigger question is where isn't this programming?

The Fact is that what you claim is "a fact" is likely a desire you invented.
"Facts" are things with have some basis in data.

No person in any media has suggested men and women are clones.
Fact: Not one person has ever made that claim in world History.

Speaking metaphorically, I don't actually mean clones in the literal sense. ;)

Forty seconds into the video they're admitting that what follows are gross generalisations.

So basically, they're stereotypes; and not at all useful for real people in all our glorious variety.

I think I'll spare myself the rest.

I don't expect to get a lot of agreement on what I propose. Most people won't understand the concept. But there are some here that believe men and women are as I described above and I think the website link and the video have many valid points to the contrary.

What's wrong with stereotypes or generalizing? We can't put everyone under the microscope. This is how we form conclusions.

Stereotypes are socially harmful; they contribute to hierarchies in society, and to biases against particular groups, discrimination, and so on. And on a personal level, if I deal with you, not for who you are, but as if you're a bunch of stereotypes, I'll be getting it wrong a lot of the time.

It's lazy thinking, and it does a lot of harm to people who don't fit the stereotypes, and - because it contributes to stratification of groups - to pretty much everybody.

Here's an example explaining why stereotypes are harmful to people of colour, but the same principles apply with other groups: Why Stereotypes are Harmful

They give us information about large amounts of things, in this case people. It sounds like you've had the post modern programming. That can be reverse engineered for the willing.

That's just silly. We do have common sense to maneuver through the obvious.

    Lazy? It's efficient and logical.

Also, she lists physical characteristics as well and physiological. It's not all generalizations. She's drawing from many studies.

I know that men and women have physical differences.

But they are equal in intelligence.

And both are created in God's image and likeness.

"Wow, just wow, I sinceriously can't even, this obviously isn't 100% true of 100% of all people 100% of the time in 100% world! That must mean it's completely false!"

Razor sharp logic you've got there.

To put things in the postive perspective...
Most Men would not fall into lust over a transgender, due to being sent to the hospital for observing the 500 pound gorilla in the room.

Besides physical differences, men and woman do both have differences. There is no denying that. I do feel men and woman have some things in common, but some things a man may be able to do better than a woman, and some things a woman can do better than a man. God created man and woman to play certain roles, and that's just how it is. ( My opinion, don't attack me for it).
