Of what?

Lord - Australian heavy metal band
Lord of the Rings - Sauron
Lord High Admiral of the United Kingdom - The Duke of Edinburgh
Lord of the Dance - Michael Flatley

If it didn't matter; why not put the verse to rest. Be a hero for all Atheists.

You can't.

Isn't it sinful to ask somebody to lie?

You obviously don't really understand the verse. Clue: it has nothing to do with the physical ability to utter four words.

Are you prepared to say "Allahu Akbar"?

If it doesn't, have anything to do with the ability to utter words, then tell me what it's purpose is?

I'm not asking you to lie. I'm asking you to say with your voice Jesus is The Lord. Write it down if you want.

What does that mean again?

When you tell me why you won't say "Alluhu akbar" you'll understand

All?hu Akbar. Means God is Great.

But according to this:

http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Allahu_Akbar

It means "Allah is greater". In that case I would need to ask greater then what?

The site claims the Islamic deity is greater then any other. I don't suggest this.

Duly noted that you failed to say it

Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3 KJV)

I do not claim any god greater then my God.

1 Corinthians 12:3 says I am unable to curse God; so I can't with intention.

Atheism doesn't follow gobbledygook remember? It doesn't believe anything, but obviously you can't say Jesus is The Lord, because there is No evidence of a God?

One of the other videos grouped along with this one (5 Questions Evolutionists Can't Answer) showed Obama as senator deriding the scriptures. The voiceover defense of the Bible was OK, but it missed the mark a little bit, especially in his answer to Obama’s "sarcastic remark regarding the Defense Department not being able to survive the Sermon on the Mount’s application". The voiceover said, "I can assure you, senator [Obama], that Christ would never advocate turning the other cheek to terrorists and American enemies, as your smug laughter so clearly implies". Well, first, Senator Obama was right about the Defense Dept. as we know it not being able to survive and uphold the Sermon on the Mount at the same time. But second, the voiceover's "assurance" about Christ never advocating "turning the other cheek to terrorists and American enemies" is his opinion only. The Bible nowhere records that Jesus gave any qualifiers to what he said about this. You have to be careful when someone gets really adamant about something like the voiceover did here. He sounded quite convincing, but you have to remember that he was putting words in Jesus' mouth. Jesus never said that, and nowhere else in the Bible did he ever advocate that in certain situations it is OK to return blow for blow instead of turning the other cheek. He sure did practice what he preached when his own enemies were about to destroy him. Rather, getting back to Obama, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty" (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

But certainly the phrase "Allahu Ackbar" is just as "difficult" to say for an atheist, is it not? If an atheists says "Allahu Ackbar", certainly we must get some points for saying some arbitrary incantation made up by a handful of desert herders. I mean, you must do it every Sunday.

A Christian spoke.
?

Christians, like the rest of us, also make mistakes. But then like the rest of us, they can also be correct.

So, why would I argue against it? Do you think that KCW was wrong in his description?

It's not his description I'm worried about. It's the fact that he failed to appreciate that I was using an analogy in my reply to AV. Maybe it was not so clear in how I replied to AV.

Anyone without a speech impediment can say it, but just saying it means nothing. The verse is meaningless.
Meaningless to whom? you?

Even atheists can be motivated to react to Bible verses.

QV your avatar and see if you can tell what verse I'm thinking of.

For being "meaningless," they sure have you guys' attention, don't they?

Aren't atheists supposed to know these 'meaningless verses' better than Christians?

Of course we do. When we have to deal with grown men and women who believe the word of Bronze Age desert herders as the inerrant word of some arbitrary divine being, supported by the equivalent amount of evidence of Santa Claus' existence, it tends to get a little attention.

Perhaps you should dislodge yourself from your high horses and take an objective step back.

If somebody quotes the same verse multiple times in your face it is likely to get your attention. That doesn't give it meaning, it is more likely a demonstration of how that person is not grasping what the respondents are saying.

Perhaps you could let the tool know what the verse is actually saying? He seems to be struggling....

Aren't atheists supposed to know these 'meaningless verses' better than Christians?

I think you're almost there! You appear to be on the verge of seeing that it is not about physical ability to say words. Go on! You can do it!

Atheism doesn't follow gobbledygook remember?
But your religion does?

It doesn't believe anything, but obviously you can't say Jesus is The Lord, because there is No evidence of a God?
I can say it, but why would I? I don't believe it so I'd either be lying or just saying a meaningless phrase. What's your point?

Just how much have you had to deal with these "Bronze Age desert herders" exactly, Dreamer?

Because of these guys' existence, who built their nation on what you call "the equivalent amount of evidence of Santa Claus' existence," the world has see unparalleled bloodshed.

I thank God for these Jews, as without them, people with attitudes like yours would walk in our midst unnoticed for the lowlifes that they are.

Put another way, these "desert hearders" have a way of bringing out the wolves, who would normally walk around in sheeps' clothing, fooling even the very elect of God.

But all that aside, Dreamer -- how have you, personally, had to deal with these "desert herders"? and how much angst has it caused you?

I'll look for an objective answer.

I am still waiting for you to do so.

Just how much have you had to deal with these "Bronze Age desert herders" exactly, Dreamer?

Ah, so you are going to adhere to the ad populum fallacy?

Because of these guys' existence, who built their nation on what you call "the equivalent amount of evidence of Santa Claus' existence," the world has see unparalleled bloodshed.

And there you done and did it.

I thank God for these Jews, as without them, people with attitudes like yours would walk in our midst unnoticed for the lowlifes that they are.

How Christian of you to do so.

Put another way, these "desert hearders" have a way of bringing out the wolves, who would normally walk around in sheeps' clothing, fooling even the very elect of God.

Really? How is this done? Please, demonstrate this notion to me.

But all that aside, Dreamer -- how have you, personally, had to deal with these "desert herders"? and how much angst has it caused you?

More importantly, have you? You are the one who commits your entire worldview to it.

I'll look for an objective answer.

So far, they have been.

Perhaps you and others here who take the Bible with a grain of sand need to learn what others in the past learned the hard way:

The pen is mightier than the sword.

If you guys want to relegate the jots & tittles to meaningless ideas, that's your prerogative; but where the Christians, who normally walk around passively, tend to shine, is when Christianity is resisted by those who put feet to their philosophies and actually resist Christianity and/or Judaism in deed, not words.

Then the Bible really comes alive!

Just ask the likes of Mohammad, Hitler, and Yasser Arafat.
