Daniel 11 gives the history of the Jews till Herod and Augustus. Dan 12:1 continues from that. Near the time of the end of Herod't life, the Lord Jesus was born, but it doesn't dwell on that as it is dealt with elsewhere. It goes straight on to deal with the prophecies of Matt, 23-24 and Mark 13, Luke 21. when Christians fled the city.
