And mind you, Trump hasn't even taken any real vacation.

I could see his argument of diplomacy via golf (like he did with Abe) if this weren't the only example.

The trips to Florida cost that much. The Trump Golf Club in VA is just outside of DC, so it wouldn't cost that much.

He also owns (bought in 2012) a course in Florida (Doral) where a PGA Tour event has been played there every year since 1962, until this year. In June of last year (2016), the PGA Tour announced that the World Golf Championships event held at Trump National will move to Mexico City in 2017 and will be renamed the WGC-Mexico Championship. The tournament was played a few weeks ago, March 2-5.
