RIP Bond, James Bond.

(CNN)Sir Roger Moore, the actor famed for portraying James Bond in seven "007" films between 1973 and 1985, has died after a battle with cancer, according to his family. He was 89.

Sad. Not my favorite Bond, but he did make the character fun.

I enjoyed his suave Bond, even if the movies around him tended to get silly. Spent many an afternoon with B&W reruns of the Saint. And liked his ability to make fun of himself in Cannonball Run.

Sad news, I liked him as Bond and in other roles. He didn't take himself too seriously.

He was my favorite Bond (shoot me Connery fans), RIP him and prayers for him and his family.

Sad to hear this. He really had that man of world persona. I've enjoyed all the Bond movies, even 'View to a Kill.'
