Japanese is a combo of "cute and curly" (Hiragana) plus Chinese Characters. I think Korean might use some Chinese characters too.I've heard someone say it like this:
Korean is straight and circular lines - 한국어
Japanese is curly and cute - あなた
Chinese is BIG THREATENING CHARACTERS - 我在美國看電影

Japanese has katakana as well. (mainly enlgish loan words)
hanja= Chinese characters
