INTRODUCTION

This article deals with proof from Biblical prophecy--God's revealed truth to mankind--which we are able to verify historically and scientifically. You don't have to be a scientist or academician to verify these facts either. But for some, no amount of proof will change their views. Therefore, this article is for those who are truly looking for solid answers in a world where progressive leaders and politicians have done everything they can, with their money, power and influence, to destroy the truth of God which has been preserved in the Christian faith. This presentation features prophecies that fulfill after Christ' resurrection from the dead. These prophecies cannot fulfilled unless Jesus is the risen Lord. The prophecies featured here are all fulfilled prophecies.

This article mainly focuses on the fulfillment of prophecies in Isaiah 60:1-10.
_______________________________________________________________
RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST, PROOF OF

The resurrection of Jesus Christ has no doubt had a profound effect on the world. Christianity today has an estimated 2.4 billion followers, making the belief that Jesus rose from the dead the most accepted belief system in the world. The Apostle Paul accounted for 500 witnesses who saw Jesus after His crucifixion, death, and burial (1 Corinthians 15:3-6). Though since the Darwinian synthesis there are many people around the world who either doubt the account or simply do not believe it. Many people today who did not live 2000 years ago in the time of Christ and didn't see Jesus after His death have vehemently questioned, even attacking the account, demanding an explanation they can see here in the present now. Though the answer still requires faith to accept, there is observable evidence in our time, in recent history, which has laid down a fine explanation through a proper understanding of prophecies in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible.
________________________________________________________________________
OBSERVABLE PROPHECIES

If the Old Testament is given a chance to speak there is much we can learn from it. For example, it can be proven that the entire history of the Jews, leading up to the present, was first written in the Torah. Some of those examples will be included here. An observable prophecy is one which may have been foretold thousands of years ago, but fulfilled during a span of history familiar to history and science students today. Though in the case of Jesus' resurrection from the dead, this article places strict focus solely on those observable proofs which can be historically verified to be true. Thus observable prophecies are those ancient prophecies which took thousands of years to fulfill and yet fulfilled in chronological order and contain major landmarks of known history and scientific endeavor.
________________________________________________________________________
THE SCATTERING OF THE JEWS

This prophecy is first mentioned in the Torah and read in passages such as Leviticus 26:33-35, and, more convincing -- Deuteronomy 4:25-28; 28:15-68. These three passages from the Torah give an account of a time that had not happened when the Torah was written. A clear read of these passages reveal that the time will come as the LORD declared that the Israelites, being a stiff-necked people, ( Exodus 32:8-9, 33:3; Deuteronomy 9:6; Jeremiah 17:20-23) will scatter them all over the world, from one end of the earth to the other (Deuteronomy 28:64. This prophecy has great historical value as such a scattering of the Jews as described in Deut.4:25-28; 28:15:68 never happened until the Siege of Jerusalem (70 CE), when several thousand Jews were slaughter while thousands more enslaved to work the mines of Egypt (Deuteronomy 28:15-68). Those who weren't captured and enslaved fled to other parts of the Mediterranean and from there they would be scattered all over the globe just as it was written in the Torah would happen if the Jews continually disobeyed God. The act that angered God the most happened when the Jews decided to kill God the Son. From here on it would be a very rocky road for the Jews as prophecy declared in the Torah.

*Note: This prophecy concerning the scattering of the Jews is spoken unto Moses before the Jews enter into the Promised Land.
______________________________________________________________________
THE RETURN OF THE JEWS, 1948

History verifies that the Jews were scattered all over the earth exactly the way it was written in Leviticus 26:33-35 and Deut.4:25-28; 28:15-68. But God would not forsake His people. He also told them they would return back to their homeland after being scattered and plagued for a prolonged period of time (Deuteronomy 28:58-64). Deuteronomy 30:1-10 prophesied the Jews return back to Israel in 1948. A key factor in knowing this prophecy fulfilled on that date was how the Jews were able to take a dry rocky desolate wasteland and turn it into a green oasis as history verifies and prophecy foretold (Deuteronomy 30:9).
_______________________________________________________________________
OVERLAPPING PROPHECIES

The history of the Jews return back to Israel is quintessential in how we are to understand the Divine Hand and Fingerprint of God as seen in history. But this prophecy and event is overlapped by another prophecy which history also records did in fact take place. This would be the rise of Christendom though the mass conversion of gentiles. Both events: the scattering of the Jews and the rise of Christendom, take place in the same time frame of history.
______________________________________________________________________
THE RISE OF CHRISTENDOM

As early as the Book of Genesis there is prophecy of the gentiles (Genesis 17:4-6) coming over to the faith of Abraham (Genesis 17:4-6, 18:18, 22:15-18). Though the featured passage of prophecy which proves that Christ did indeed rise from the dead comes from Isaiah 60:1-10. This prophecy overlaps the others mentioned above but contains deeper insight into our modern world. Isaiah 60:1-2 begins fulfillment at the resurrection of Jesus Christ. To confirm these two verses are correctly interpreted it is necessary to examine the key verse of the chapter in verse 3,

"The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising" (Isa.60:3).

This prophecy is dated to 700 B.C. and the entire chapter is verified authentic to have existed before the Christian era (Dead Sea Scrolls). It should be noted that the idea of gentile kings and nations coming to the Jewish Messiah was a laughable prophecy in the minds of the more powerful gentile kings before the Christian era. Even during the Christian era the Roman Empire would not find any faith in Jewish religion merely by reading this prophecy from Isaiah. However, this prophecy becomes more and more observable when gentiles and their kings do come to the light of the Jewish Messiah in an era that historians often call Christendom. It is impossible to conceive that this prophecy could be fulfilled unless God's hand was at work. So this makes Isaiah 60:3 very significant to our knowledge of the world and how we understand our origins and our meaning and purpose here on earth.

Isaiah 4-7 continue to speak about the blessing that God will bestow upon the Jews through the Christian gentile nations. Travel and trade become easier and the quality of life begins to increase.
_______________________________________________________________________
THE AIRPLANE IN PROPHECY

The idea of human air travel is as ancient as humanity itself. Though this was no easy feat to achieve and it took until 1903, when two brothers from the gentile Christian nation of the United States, from the State of Ohio, invent the very first airplane. Wilbur and Orville Wright not only invented the first flying aircraft, but this invention would be modified and eventually used to take the Jews back to their homeland, Israel. This event in 1948 echos the distant prophecy of Isaiah; which, for the sake of accuracy, the following verse is taken from the oldest and most accurate English translation of the Bible as to confirm how old the prophecy is even in our English language. Isaiah 60:8 from the 1537 Matthew's Bible,

"But what are these that fle here like the cloudes, and as the doues flyenge to their wyndowes?"

What are these? Who are these? (Tyndale and KJV variants). Isaiah addressed this question to those from another generation in which this prophecy would fulfill in their time. He is shown a revelation of his fellow Jewish descendants traveling back to Israel by means of air transportation. He ends with a question so the readers of the intended generation will know what these things are that fly like the clouds and like doves to their nest. Naturally back in 700 B.C. the only comparison to an airplane would be clouds and birds.

This interpretation is well supported in one of the most acclaimed Bible Commentaries,

"60:8, 9 Plane-loads of Israel's sons and exiles return to Israel like flocks of birds, along with large ships bringing their accumulated wealth with them" (Bible Believer's Commentary).

The New Living Translation places the verse in proper context with traveling to Israel,

"And what do I see flying like clouds to Israel, like doves to their nests?"

The prophecy of verse 8 could not ever have been fulfilled until verse 3 was fulfilled. The Gentiles began to come to the light during the ministry of Christ' Apostles. As the Gospel spread throughout the Gentile world, we see the first king accept Christ as his Savior. From Constantine to Charlemagne there is no doubt that Christianity has spread far and wide throughout the Gentile nations. The discovery of America is the complete fulfillment of the prophecy in verse 3. In this Christian nation, two brothers from Ohio invent the first airplane. This airplane is therefore used to take the Jews back to Israel where the gentile Christian nations would help rebuild Israel and reestablish Israel as a nation which it remains to this day.

"The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you" (Isaiah 60:10).
_______________________________________________________________________
Is Isaiah 60:8 a UFO Sighting?

Some may want to misinterpret v.8 to mean UFOs. Though there is not a trace or a hint that this prophecy is about anything other than human transportation. Verses 8-10 cover Jewish people flying by air (v.8), traveling from distant lands (v.9), and arriving at their destination of Israel. The Jews traveled by land, sea and air back to Israel in 1948. So Isaiah 60:8 is about human beings that travel to destination Israel. There is nothing within the context that even remotely hints about UFOs or aliens from some distant planet.
_____________________________________________________________________
Is Isaiah 60:8 Only About Ships At Sea?

Some may attempt to forcefully distort Isaiah 60:8 to say it only means ships of the sea. While land and sea travel do fit the context of the passage, verse 8, however, has nothing to do with traveling by sea. It clearly says they will be traveling by air. The claim that verse 8 is about sea travel is absurd.

Isaiah 60:8-10 is a prophecy written and expressed in ancient Hebrew. Isaiah is doing his very best to describe airplanes which is why v.8 ends with a question mark. Isaiah knows this prophecy being revealed to him cannot be grasped by his own contemporaries. He knew the prophecy would be understood by people far removed from his time. The question mark was not for him. It was for us. We are the ones who can answer Isaiah's question -- "What are these...?" The question mark is a very important part of the verse. Its there to get us to think about what we just read so we will have faith and be saved in the last days.

God bless Isaiah †

ISAIAH 60 OUTLINE OF EVENTS

The chronology of events:

Verses 1 & 2: Christ' resurrection & ascension.

Verse 3: Gentile nations and their kings turn to the light of Christ and become Christian nations.

Verse 4-7: Quality of life increases, trade and travel become easier.

Verse 8: Airplane invented by Christians in a gentile Christian nation is used to fly Jews back to Israel.

Verse 9: These Jews come from afar and from various places of the globe, bringing their accumulated wealth back to their homeland.

Verse 10: Gentile Christian nations show love for the Jews and help rebuild Israel.

The last few verses of this chapter fulfill at the end of time and continue on throughout eternity. Therefore this chapter 60 in Isaiah doesn't have an ending as eternity never ends. The chapter begins with Christ' resurrection, goes throughout all history up to the 2nd coming, and continues throughout all eternity.

Jesus is our risen Lord and Savior!

Maybe. But its here due to creationist content. This post is here to help the blind see. I give no apology for my faith in Christ.
You left out the proof of the resurrection in the section called 'RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST, PROOF OF'. An ancient story written long after the supposed event is an anecdote, not a proof - no matter how many people believe it true; and proofs should not require faith because they should establish the fact.

Given that this is the 'Physical & Life Sciences' forum, it would save confusion if you adopted the scientific concept of proof as applying only to formal axiomatic systems (logic, mathematics, etc.) and not to states of affairs in the world, about which there is always some potential doubt.

Even apparent Popperian falsification is open to doubt.

That's a bad illustration with your posting.

The stone was rolled away not to let Jesus out of the tomb, but to show He wasn't there.
True. The picture is only there to emphasis the fact that Jesus rose from the dead.

This is not proof, but merely evidence, from a phenomenological-empirical standpoint.
How so? The prophesies are clear on the issue. Perhaps you might want to attempt posting some counter-points. I mean, they will get refuted and most effortlessly, I can assure you. One would have largely deviate from the context in an effort to debunk this. I have interpreted prophecy correctly and the fulfillment of these prophesies is absolutely impossible if Jesus did not rise from the dead. But as it is, these prophesies only fulfill after Christ is risen.

This entire forum is a Christian forum and this post logically proves the physical resurrection of Christ, both historically and scientifically. After all, Isaiah said gentile Christians would invent the airplane after the resurrection of Christ, and the airplane would be used to fly the scattered Jews back to Israel. All this is true. Modern science has no authority or power over prophecy. Today science has become partisan politics from corrupt minded socialists. I trust God's word over so-called "science" any day of the week. So you can follow your fallible and corrupt "scientists" and I will follow my risen Lord, Jesus Christ Who is infallible and incorruptible.

Be careful, your fingers must be getting corrupted typing away on your PC.
Come to think of it, you must feel terribly corrupted. There is not too much in life that you willingly take advantage of that hasn't been touched by those "fallible and corrupt scientists".
The next time you are searching your bible for proof of biblical prophecies, or if you prefer, using the bible to prove the bible is true, I suggest you read it in daylight hours which will save you having to use that other corrupt scientific discovery, the electric light.

You have me all wrong. I don't reject science at all. I just do not see science as infallible or scientists as infallible gods as you do.

In my introduction I made clear mention that no matter how strong the evidence the atheist will force himself to reject it. May article is written for those who are open to accept the reality that Biblical prophecy contains the entire history and future of this earth age and the earth age to come. The remarkable thing about Isaiah chapter 60 is that it starts with Christ' resurrection in this earth age and continues on through to the next earth age which never ends.

Nobody thinks this.
If you trust scientists more than God than you are a polytheists who worships many gods. If you believe scientists are infallible then you are literally worshiping corrupt human beings. I prefer to worship God over humans.

Anyone who has a couple of brain cells neither worships scientists nor thinks they are infallible. Scientists themselves don't think they are infallible. Their findings are peer-reviewed, they are not automatically rubber stamped. Scientists will admit to being wrong. I doubt if there is anything in your belief system that you would admit to as being wrong. The idea that people worship scientists and think they are infallible is just plain silly!
