Oh I know that - Im just saying society has conventions that change generation by generation. It applies to music, how you have your hair, the clothes you wear, how you speak - and even make-up.

Yes, fashions and trends change and come and go. We all know that.

Something as large as traditional sexual roles and expressions are much more enduring over time though. These things are not completely universal or static, but they do not blow with the winds of fashion either.

It's really not a reasonable comparison, and either misses the point or makes light of the topic.
