When my first husband was at his end days, the doctors (who never showed their face before) all showed up to pressure me to take him off life support. I got calls at home about his "progress" (never got any before), was pressured by phone and in person. They basically hounded me to take him off life support. This had happened once before and he lived for another 2 years at home.
Funny how they don't have time to talk to you until it's time to pull the plug.
