New Cds! Need Your Opinion On These!

The Skillet cd is a good album. Not their strongest and there are some weak moments, but overall it's worth checking out.

    Switchfoot and Relient K and...

I've been a Relient K fan for awhile, their new album is the only one I really loved though, the others were hit and miss with me. Their new one has some of their most clever lyrics, and creative music. They are great for a pop-punk act, though there are tons of bands that blow them away outside...

    Be My Escape

Some excellent videos in the "christian" market are Skillet's Savior video and Blindside's All of Us video. Of Relient K's previous videos, Chapped Lips, Chapstick, and things like Chemistry was quite funny, and more creative than this new one.

    Be My Escape

The song is good, not my favorite on the cd, but good. The video, however, is a fairly standard and quite boring video.

It seems like alot of Christian bands...

This is true, and even worse is the fact that many christians are content with that.

It seems like alot of Christian bands...

*raises hand* The really talented ones have unique touches in music and lyrics where you know it's them. They are few and far between, but they exist.

Is anyone else disgusted at a lot of "Christian" music today!

There is no christian rock or rap because music has no soul that can be saved, it cannot believe, music simply is.

    The DaVinci Code Movie

I disagree, only because I thought The Terminal was an enjoyable movie, and that starred Tom Hanks.

is "the passion of the christ" the best film ever made?

No, heck, Last Temptation of Christ struck me far more powerfully with Christ's death. I realize it's not 100% accurate, the movie even admits that beforehand, warning that the movie is not based on the gospels but on a fictional book, but I thought the portrayal of Christ's death made it far...

    A tell-tale story

Interestingly enough, Sufjan Stevens, who is very open about his Christianity and writes about it frequently, has non-christian fans who don't mind him singing songs about his faith.
