    My husband is right...

...I need to quit coming here to CF. I'm tired of seeing blasphemy from people that call themselves Christians, and I'm tired of not being able to tell it straight in response. I'm obviously not very ecumenical or diplomatic. It's doing me no good. I need to concentrate on my own walk. If...

    So...

North Korea fired yet another missile, St. Louis has erupted in riots, there was a terror attack in London, there is a hepatitis outbreak in San Diego, and none of these have been mentioned anywhere on either of the News and Current Events boards on this site. It's a little strange to me as to...

Why do we ask the Theotokos and Saints to help us?

This is a great AFR podcast on this topic. The timing of this is apropos considering how many threads on other boards here at CF bring up this topic on a regular basis (many quite recently). Why do we ask the Theotokos and Saints to help us? - Redeeming the Time | Ancient Faith Ministries

Anyone have any insight into this?

At church this past week- a baby girl was churched in the way baby boys are churched. I was told this was a recent change/new rule by the archdiocese (Antiochian). My husband and I (as well as many others) were concerned about this. Is anyone else aware of this and the reasoning behind it?

Gunmen kill at least 26 Coptic Christians in central Egypt

Gunmen kill at least 26 Coptic Christians in central Egypt I'm sure few of you even care. Cue all the folks that will try to make this about the Crusades, will blame America, or will make Islam and Muslims the victims by defending that Satanic ideology, or whatever foolishness they can find...

ORTHODOX CHURCH IN PRAGUE VANDALIZED AFTER MUSLIM THREATENS PARISHIONERS

Orthodox Church in Prague vandalized after Muslim threatens parishioners / OrthoChristian.Com Walking into a church after liturgy and praying to the Muslim God, throwing stuff, yelling at everyone, urinating on police officers, vandalizing the church with graffiti, you know, the usual.

    Alex Jones, Performance Artist

This is the argument that Alex Jones' lawyer is making on his behalf in his custody battle with his wife. Alex doesn't believe his own theories and has made a lot of money out of gullible people. It's been obvious to me since forever, but I think some of those that love their conspiracies and...

Palm Sunday Bombings of Egyptian Copt Churches Kill 44

Palm Sunday bombings of Egyptian Coptic churches kill 44 You know you have to deal with persecution when you have to have metal detectors and security- and it still doesn't stop the terrorism. Lord, have mercy.

    Persecution in the 20th Century...

I came across some older Soviet propaganda and stories about persecuted Christians during that time. As you can see, this was the Soviet version of an American mental hygiene film, designed to get people to deny their faith and inform on others. I thought it was interesting enough to share...

White House defends Trump’s shot at Schwarzenegger

White House defends Trump’s shot at Schwarzenegger as a ‘lighthearted moment’ in a ‘beautiful’ prayer breakfast speech Trump also talked about his experience being “raised in a churched home” and the importance of spirituality. It's wild how he can switch from unprovoked attacks against others...

The Data That Turned the World Upside Down

The Data That Turned the World Upside Down This article is long, but worth the read I think. I want to know your opinions on all of this. For those of you familiar with Asimov, this is psychohistory becoming a reality, in my opinion. For those of you of the TL;DR variety, essentially, this...

    Prediction...

I think the GOP will give Trump enough rope to hang himself and then impeach him so they can have Pence as POTUS. Of course, this is all speculation, but it is known that a lot in the GOP don't like Trump. What do you all think?

…when you're randomly scrolling down a page (in this case the main Yahoo page) before going to check your e-mail, you run into an article like this (and these articles never have a comments section where one can respond)? It looks like someone decided to start the New Year by attacking the...
