    Fluoxetine v citalopram

My doctor has changed the anti-depressants I am on from fluoxetine (Prozac) to citalopram. I am due to start taking them tomorrow. I wondered if anyone else had tried both and had any comments? ie did they find one better than the other? I know different drugs work better for some than others...

    Really struggling....

with my depression just now :( I am premenstrual as well, which I have noticed making me worse as the months go by. Sad thing is that at the start of this week, I was feeling so well I actually considered going to see my doctor to talk about coming off my anti-depressants. Now I am wondering if...

    Stopping smoking again

This is day 2 - yesterday went OK, I wore a patch, and only had a few minor cravings. Today has been a bit harder - bigger cravings, feeling weepy, very low in mood, but still haven't cracked :swoon: Now I'm actually starting to feel a little ill - headache, upset tummy - pretty sure these are...

    Books?

Anyone know of any good books which look at healing and recovery from sexual assault from a Christian perspective? And not books that are solely aimed at rape survivors (no disrespect whatsoever intended to any dear sisters who are rape survivors ) TIA

Help & advice for those whose loved one suffers from depression?

Hi all. I have been suffering from depression for some time now, and I know how hard it is on my partner. I wondered if anyone out there also struggles caring for their loved one who has depression, and if you might know of any good books/ websites that I might be able to direct my partner to in...

    Question about Prozac (Fluoxetine)

Hi guys. As some of you know, I have been taking Prozac for a few months now. I know I shouldn't drink alcohol whilst on these (not a biggie for me, as I hardly ever drink anyway), but I have just been doing some reading online and found some stuff saying I should be avoiding caffeine also...

    Where should we worship?

Hey all :) My partner and I are trying to find a church where we both feel comfortable worshipping, and where my daughter (13) will feel at home, and have a lively Youth Fellowship to become involved in. My background is in a non-denom, kind of evangelical church, very informal and relaxed...

    Other missing stickys?

Didn't there use to be stickies with info about the Army, and links to other places to learn about your doctrines. practices etc? I try to read up on that kind of stuff when I have the chance, but I can't find the posts now :)

    Gotta quit soon...

OK, I gave up smoking back in Mar 2000, and was off them for nearly 7 years. I started again this February shortly after separating from my husband, when the stress just got too much. Usual story - I'll just have a few, for a little while, won't get hooked again......and here I am in July, have...

    Think I'm depressed...

I always thought I was too strong to succumb to depression. Now before I go any further, let me apologise right off for that statement - I know that depression can strike anyone, no matter how "strong" or otherwise they may be - please don't feel I am judging anyone. It's just what I used to...

    Not sure where to start...

or even if this is the right place to post this. I wasn't raped, or abused as a child, but I have been told that what I underwent was a sustained sexual assault. When I was a child of about 13, we lived out in the countryside, and I had to travel to school on the schoolbus every day. There...
