What would it take to trust Christ?

I believe a god probably exists; I just don't have any faith in him because I haven't seen a reason to yet. So, for me to have trust in God/Christ I would have to see some easy to understand and obvious sign(s) that God cared about any of us and was willing to help us with things that are out of...

    What would you do?

I might do it if I believed it was truly God who was telling me to do this and I was absolutely certain that God's nature was entirely good. So, God would have to give me a very valid reason and prove to me it absolutely had to be done. If it was meant to be a test I would ask him what the...

    Ask a Pagan

Really? Social 'science' is one type of science that expects you to rely on the testimony of people who wrote whole textbooks on a subject familiar to us all; a subject world that we all live in everyday automatically and have some knowledge of, whether we "try it out" or not. Why should I rely...

    Ask a Pagan

I've heard of Animism too. Somebody brought up the idea that "control" might not be the best way to describe using magic. I just mean it could be a way to have a tool to use to be more proactive instead of being as passive as using prayer or belief only. I know it's impossible to control...

    Ask a Pagan

Then, that's one of the things that appeals to me about Paganism. I've read a little about their belief in magic on websites, but I never quite got the impression of whether they really felt as though it worked as a tangible reality. I like that they feel like it is a tangible thing. It's kind...

    Ask a Pagan

Do Pagans think that magic is a literal, concrete reality and that it's truly possible to practice, not just as a ritual? I have an open mind about this if people have had real experience with it. I didn't look thru the whole thread, so I apologize if it's been asked before.:)

What do Deists think of atheists?

I don't have a problem with Atheists because the more I get to know many Christians the more I can see why some Atheists take a hardline, I don't mean that negatively either. It's in self-defense that Atheists have to be vehement at times. I haven't had an Atheist treat me with contempt so far...

    The local weather!!

It is cool that it can pin down a town of only 800 people, like where I used to live. I'm pleasently surprised!

    Deism

I like that the post you are referring to said Deism has some aspects of freethought to it. I would also add that Deism has some real common sense too. At least I can relate to it and believe it's plausible more than I can Biblical religion. So, that post wasn't rude.:)

    Deism

I believe in the supernatural. I don't think it's directly dependent on God to exist though. I believe that it was part of the 'blueprint' of the Universe. The supernatural is like the flip side of reality. BTW, I don't even think an afterlife has to be directly dependent on God either. I...

    Deism

:sigh::o I have a link that I would like to post but it told me I need to have at least 15 posts before I can do that. Anyway, the reply that Veggie gave is very accurate. That's the most basic and straight-forward way to put it.
