    F.e.a.r

Yeah, FEAR has great AI. They jump through windows, throw nades, try to sweep you out, and do all sorts of crazy stuff. Micro isn't kidding about the video requirements either, that thing drags down most systems at some point or another. Although short, the game is relatively spooky throughout...

    Recent Cd purchases

Picked up some old Cds today. Norma Jean - Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child. Armor for Sleep - Dream to Make Believe. The latter wasn't as good as I hoped, but I don't think I was in the mood for it. The first is really quite good, as their first Cd, and is pretty much a must-have for any...

    The Indie Thread

Figured I'd pass along info I know, since anyone who likes Godspeed you! Black Emperor, Do Make Say Think, ASilverMtZion etc, might like the following bands. Or if you just like good instrumental music with an avant-garde feel to it at times. The Antarticans, Fly Pan Am, Set Fire to Flames...

How can people cite 'freedom' and support this?

You know, I see one guy posting satire then I see it followed up by this. It's really hard to tell which ends up. Silly Crusader, the Dems only disagree with the war because they aren't leading it. When Bush leaves they'll run gung ho into some other country like Clinton, but the Repubs won't...

There is No God by Penn Jillette

Thanks for passing this along, Penn's always a joy to listen to, since he speaks eloquently no matter the cirumstance. And as Clement noted, he does so not to prove anything to anyone, but instead to be honest about how he lives his life.

How can people cite 'freedom' and support this?

You do know how insane that sounds don't you? Here's a similar vein of example: "Why not just arrest all black people because so many end up in jail? They must be dangerous or else we wouldn't have so many imprisoned, therefore we must arrest these individuals before they have the chance to...

    Anyone seen Jarhead?

Yep. It's really quite good. Jake Gyllenhal does great acting in all his movies. It's got a good vibe to it, probably because it's based on a memoir written by a Gulf War vet. There isn't really any fighting in the whole of the movie, which is accurate of the time frame and location. It's mostly...

How can people cite 'freedom' and support this?

Which pretty much means anyone can torture US troops as much as they like, seeing as we aren't a member of the International Court for a reason. Oddly enough, neverforsaken is pretty much wrong entirely that these people were captured as "enemy combatants". Over 70% of the people captured from...

    Is this Music?

Ech, never use Linkin Park to express an opinion. Especially not on rap, heh. Rap is as much music as anything else out there. Although rap tends to be more pop oriented and less deep when compared to hip-hop, which is both a culture and a music. The day things stop being music just because...

Cursive - The Recluse Found via some site called pandora.com, which has a sort of radio based off of the music you like. Really helpful as of late to find more indie bands out there.

    Despair

I particularly liked you not going with a straight rhyme scheme. The abac stanza set up helped keep it off-balance and more interesting to read.

    Video Game Music

The Splinter Cell soundtrack is fantastic, although it's not that loud at times, seeing as it's sort of a spy-related backdrop type of music. And the Unreal Tournament sound tracks from any of their game versions are always great techno/industrial, no matter the occasion. Still, gotta...

Funeral For a Friend - This Years Most Open Heartbreak Pretty good hardcore metal, also mildly Christian in nature.

    Van Helsing

I personally felt it sucked. The graphics were about the only thing good in it, the acting was at least somewhat good. The main issues were with the poor plot, attempts at reworking the ideas of old into something new didn't work out too well. The history of it was thrown around a bit much...

What is the best game you've ever played?

I've personally been addicted to Tribes 2 for three years, so I have to say it is the best I've ever played. But, hey oworm, Battlezone 2 was amazing. I wish I could still get it looking good on my new computer here, but it renders every poor image to death.

How many DVD's do you have??

Maybe 50 or so. Quite frankly, if I see a DVD and a VHS right next to each other of the same movie, I'll buy the cheaper of the two--which explains why I've many more VHS tapes. But most new tapes are in DVD form nowadays, the older ones I still stick to VHS for sale quality.

    Gigs/Concerts

past show coincidence: Ha, I saw them in concert back in March. Great tour. That was one heck of a death metal show, killed my neck headbanging to them. I'm awaiting Hellfest in late July, it is a 3 day Hardcore music festival in NJ. There are around 30 bands on the lineup, maybe more. This...
