    A Protestant's First Mass

I can't believe anyone still uses that book. When he was still Cardinal, Ratzinger said it was, ''not suitable as a catechetical text.'' BOOK'S POPULARITY TESTS THE VATICAN Since the Lord is in control, the H.S. will guide you to His truth.

    Is AMDG still here?

I stopped receiving Christmas e-mails from her, and when I tried finding her on-line, I realized her husband had died. Does anyone still have her contact info?

I haven't been here in at least a couple of years. I was doing a search and found a link to OBOB, and decided to pop in. I am so sorry for your loss. Newman99 was such an inspiration of how to respond with charity. I had always hoped that he would finish posting his conversion story. Heaven's...

She doesn't want to end them. She wants to privatize them. Big diff. I'm all in favor of the government not running social welfare programs. They run them into the ground. They end up running them like the Post Office. They spend 75 cents of every dolloar to run the program, and 25 cents to...

    Sick of relativism, religious pluralism

I've decided that truth includes taking their money. Do you think they would be o.k. with that? So obviously they would agree that truth is objective, and not relative.

I have to vote for sharron angle even though it is crazy...

Well then I'll throw a moral reason in, and make it an even 6: He supports baby killing.

I have to vote for sharron angle even though it is crazy...

Reid voted against tax cuts; he voted for the stimulus bill, and the health care bill, and he is in favor of the energy bill, and the legalization of illegal immigrants. I'd say that's at least 5 reasons to vote against him.

    anyone have this bible?

It's the RSV-CE. Great translation, although I was disappointed with the quatity of footnotes. Given that they were compiled by Scott Hahn and a former student, I was expecting more.

    Our President’s Faith

I put him in the category of secular. He's not athiest, or agnostic. However, neither does he actively participate in the Christian faith, so therefore, he is secular.

going to different church than spouse (non catholic)

This is just a personal observation, but whenever a parent thinks they are going to let the child choose for himself which faith to follow, invariably, they usually choose to follow nothing.

    Orthodox Leader Predicts Christian Springtime

Isn't that basically the same thing as what the late great JPII said when he spoke of the new millenium being a Springtime of evangelization?
