Well, after a slow shaky start, a frantic middle, and a determined end, I made it to 50k (with a day to spare, even). :clap: My story's not done yet, but I'm hoping to finish it during December, amidst holiday chaos....
Sometimes I write every day, and sometimes I go several weeks without writing anything. Usually, though, I'm somewhere in between. :) Ideally, I like to write something at least five days a week, preferably around one thousand words a day; but I'll settle for a hundred words some days. Depends...

I tend to start with an idea, write a little to get a feel for the story/characters, then sit back and plot it out, and then go back to writing it.
Sometimes I plan it before I start writing; but I don't do well without a specific plot in mind (and I don't trust myself not to forget key points...

I probably go barefoot around the house more days out of the year than not, so I voted that, but really it depends on whether it's cold or hot. If it's cold, I'll wear socks. If it's hot, I'll go barefoot.
I only wear shoes when I have to. ;)
