    Welfare

Two steps I would take right away: 1) All single men aged 18 to 50 with no dependents living with them are taken off the rolls effective immediately. They must reapply and are eligible for 2 months of living expenses(food/water/shelter) each 5 years. All are drug tested upon application, and...

    Wrongful death suit?

The State of Florida grants immunity from civil prosecution if the accused is cleared of the offense in criminal court. Just like Texas.

Verdict In Zimmerman Trial Now! NOT GUILTY!

Texas implements voter ID law ... today, curiously enough

they start giving away the free photo ID's starting tomorrow. God Bless Texas.

    Assault Weapons ban is dead

Good. Next is the magazine restriction. At the end of the day if no gun legislation is enacted and mental health checks are enacted, America will be better off for it. Cede no ground Republicans.

Why I love the 2nd Amendment......

Sure it does. I have a weapon that I obtained legally. You would like to make it illegal for me to own such a weapon based upon your perceived lack of need. No, she wasn't. She made many errors of judgment, the most egregious of which was allowing her son to have access to weapons. Her...

Why I love the 2nd Amendment......

I'd take that. My 7mm-08 vs. an AK in an open field. You wouldn't get with 500 yards. I also wouldn't know what to do with the other 2 rounds. The M16 and AK are used because they are cheap, ammo is cheap, and they are easy to maintain in the field for long periods of time.

Why I love the 2nd Amendment......

That ruling was in regards to a city ordinance or law, and ruled that the Second Amendment is not unlimited. I agree with that ruling. You would be right except this is federal law being proposed. Cities and states may issue 'assault weapons' bans. As long as I follow federal law(gun is...

Why I love the 2nd Amendment......

It is illegal right now to purchase a nuclear weapon. Also, I own an AR-15, 10 and about 50,000 rounds of ammo. Never have I come close to shooting anybody, so your threat of public safety is void. An AR-15 is legal under current law, as is an AR-10, as is getting abortion. The reason...

Why I love the 2nd Amendment......

I'm still on this... Why should my right to own a weapon(or anything really) which is legal under current law be infringed upon based upon what you think I do or do not need? What if we weren't talking about guns, but instead abortions, would your opinion be the same?

I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like he got hoaxed with a fake girlfriend or anything.

Sen. Diane Feinstein to Introduce Gun Control Bill

The heart of the problem is still missed, and the symptom is the only one being discussed. THIS IS NOT A GUN PROBLEM. AT All. I can point an AR-15 at you with any rounds from 1 to infinity, and without the intent of murder in my heart, it would be the same as if I pointed my stapler at...

Sen. Diane Feinstein to Introduce Gun Control Bill

That's because all you want to do is talk. You don't want to listen. I don't know why this scenario plays out all the time around these types of events, as if things like this are an opportunity for liberals to tell us how things should be, but in this case, they're wrong. Adam Lanza...

Sen. Diane Feinstein to Introduce Gun Control Bill

I say let's talk about it. We can start with gun free zones, and how they were ineffective against this lunatic. Then we can go to Aurora and see that no guns were permitted there by law abiding citizens. Then, we can go to Columbine, and re-visit those pesky gun free zones again. In fact we...

    OBAMACARE: Benefit to all Businesses

I just enrolled in my benefits for the year. My PPO(from my company) last year was $3,900 per year for the family, with a $250 individual deductible and $500 family deductible in network. $2,500 out of pocket max. This year the premium is $9,000, deductible is $750 indiv./$1,500 family...

    Puerto Rico - Statehood

Congress decides to add states to the union, not the people. As I understand it, had they not sat on it, the vote yesterday requesting statehood would have been official, and not merely symbolic. Either way it would be devastating to their economy. The citizens and small businesses would...

    Puerto Rico - Statehood

The Democrats killed HR 2499 without a vote(they sat on it) which would have made the decision for their future. Also, I don't see how adding them as a state would help them. It would probably kill their economy.

Who Won The Vice Presidential Debate - Biden/Ryan

I think it was a tie(MSNBC called the debate for Biden when they went on the air, Fox for Ryan about the same time). For whatever content win he thought he had, Biden gave it all up and more by acting like the drunk, old man, know-it-all we see at bars everywhere. With that, Obama's campaign...
