I don't blame the kid at all. Sitting through an hour or so of church can be excruciatingly painful at times.

Not offensive, just confusing. I have always had a hard time with the whole concept of original sin and the required sacrifices (OT: animal - NT: human) that are supposedly necessary to atone for said original sin, and all of the other subsequently identified "sins".

My point is that the country you were born in and the culture you were raised in may have a major influence in the beliefs you hold to be true. And may be a part of why you accept the authority of the Bible.

I find the term "soul mate" to be over used and not very helpful. It seems to imply that there is only one special person in this world that you can be connected to in a meaningful way, when in fact there are probably many potential mates in which a person could find fulfillment.

We generally keep to our own side of the bed. I attribute this to the dog that is sleeping in the middle of the bed :) BTW, my wife is the one in our house that radiates enormous amounts of heat. It has only gotten worse since she started into menopause.

I am sorry to inform you that you are past your peak, physically and mentally. It truly is all downhill from here. Even more bad news - the older you get, the passage of time appears to accelerate. Before you know it, you will be 50. Egads! Weep for your lost youth.
