    The Decode-the-jargon Game

Yep, that's right! The next one, from Noddingdog's post above, is: An implement utilised to obtain certain quantities of information from specific sources using, to name one technique, the flow of vast quantities of electrons.

    The Decode-the-jargon Game

Okay, here's a hint: The measurement is done on something that lies still. What counts is not the speed of the thing on the whole, but the speed of the atoms. Remember, the atoms are vibrating.

    I'm afraid that's wrong. Try again. :)

An ocean. An instrument using a scale which is linearly dependent on the square of the average speed of the atoms in the substance on which the measurement was done.

My theory...Mr PotatoHead was based on a real person

Did you even read the post, Follower of Christ? LewisWildermuth is talking about the method of science, and how it relates to the OP of this thread. He makes absolutely no mention of evolution.

    America the Liberator

Okay. Please forget about my earlier comments. And the article and your post have a very good point. Things will be far uglier if we simply leave Hussein alone.

    America the Liberator

That was the impression I got from the article in the original post - that this war was about liberating Iraq. I guess not. Since you most likely know more about it than I do, would you mind telling me what the reason is? Because I'm having some trouble figuring it out.

    America the Liberator

I can't help but wonder, if this war is all about liberating the people of Iraq, then why did the Bush administration confuse the issue by bringing up the war on terrorism? Ah well. Hopefully the situation will become better for the people of Iraq. That, at least, is a good thing.

    A Little Known Fact

Well, they didn't create a code, they simply spoke their own language, which is known by very few people who are not Navajos themselves. However, the language has no military expressions. But as the Navajos don't have a written language, they are accustomed to learning things by heart. All...

Why this war must be stopped!

Should we rather leave them under the government of Saddam Hussein, a man who already has killed thousands of innocent people? And how exactly did you arrive at the "thousands" figure? Last I checked, even Iraqi TV only estimated "hundreds" and they would be expected to exaggerate.

Why this war must be stopped!

I think so. In Internet Explorer, they show up with some fancy form of shadows or outline. Unfortunately, IE is the only browser supporting this (I suspect it isn't even part of the HTML standard), so on all other browsers, some usernames will be hard to read.

    Debate....

Something like half of this forum is devoted to just that debate. I'd recommend browsing through some of the older threads to get an idea of what each side is claiming, what their arguments are, etc.

    Best argument agenst Creationism?

Almost correct. Creation and evolution do not contradict. Creationism, on the other hand, is a claim, based on a literal reading of the bible, that God created all species more or less in their current form. This does contradict evolution.

Why this war must be stopped!

Thousands more will die even if the war is stopped. Based on his record, Saddam Hussein has a bad habit of killing the people he supposedly governs.

    Best argument agenst Creationism?

Huh? Evolution is a theory (and a well demonstrated one at that) about the development of a population of reproducing creatures. It has nothing to do with "how it all started".

    posting a pic

Two possibilities. If it's somewhere on the net, use the IMG tag. You should write {IMG}http://www.someplace.com/someurl{/IMG} (Using [] instead of {} of course). If it's one your computer, enter the filename (the full filename, like C:\Pictures\for_the_forums.jpg) in the Attachment box when you...
