That was the impression I got from the article in the original post - that this war was about liberating Iraq. I guess not. Since you most likely know more about it than I do, would you mind telling me what the reason is? Because I'm having some trouble figuring it out.

I can't help but wonder, if this war is all about liberating the people of Iraq, then why did the Bush administration confuse the issue by bringing up the war on terrorism? Ah well. Hopefully the situation will become better for the people of Iraq. That, at least, is a good thing.

Almost correct. Creation and evolution do not contradict. Creationism, on the other hand, is a claim, based on a literal reading of the bible, that God created all species more or less in their current form. This does contradict evolution.
