What do you think about Sleep paralysis ? Is it just medical case or more

David Hufford's book THE TERROR THAT COMES IN THE NIGHT is the classic study of this phenomenon and well worth reading. I had two episodes in a ten-day period, both in mid-afternoon. These were the only ones I've had in 72 years. They were frightening, but I am confident they weren't demonic or...

    Crop Circles

Odd how these subjects so quickly take on the tenor of a religious debate. For the record, I have been a longtime member of the American Society for Psychical Research, the (British) Society for Psychical Research, and numerous other professional and popular organizations dealing with anomalous...

    "Holding Science Hostage"

I read the article in its entirety. I have been quite astounded throughout the supposed pandemic at how many seemingly sane and intelligent people fail to see how the entire message Just Makes No Sense. My own experience, in a supposed COVID Disaster Area, tells me something is Very, Very Wrong...

    Crop Circles

No, they haven't. Not if you're familiar with the full history of the phenomenon. Your comments, including that "only a scattered few are unsolved," reflect an understanding derived from sources like Nature and the Smithsonian. As with all anomalous phenomena, those sources have a definite bias...

    Alcohol in the Bible

Wikipedia says wine was the second largest agricultural product in Ancient Israel, behind olive oil. The wines tended to be 3-6% alcohol, which is weak by today's standards, and to be extremely bitter and vinegary by today's standards. I personally don't see any biblical issue. I drink wine in...

    Game: What Would You Do?

Close the blinds, go back to bed, and try again in an hour.

If I can't be saved, I think I may know why

You're imposing your own notions on God's promises. God doesn't promise you'll never doubt again. Irkle (me) promises you will. I had a startling born-again experience 52 years ago, but I still have doubts - about the reality of that experience, the existence of God, the whole ball of wax. I...

Do You Need To Believe In The Trinity For Salvation?

How can anyone but God possibly give you an answer to that question? Some who have no idea will say yes. Some who have no idea will say no. Decide for yourself what you believe about the nature of God and live with it.

    Crop Circles

Been following the crop circle phenomenon since the outset more than 30 years ago, although I admittedly lost interest a decade or so ago. There is definitely a mysterious aspect, including other phenomena observed and photographed in association with the circles. Two things have always struck...

    God a glorified dictator?

You and everyone else is projecting very human notions in very human language onto an anthropomorphic God and Heaven of your own imagination. We have no real understanding of who God is, what it's like to be God, what Heaven is like, or what eternity with God will be like. We have - or hope we...

Did Men Really Walk On The Moon?

The fact that the OP has to warn us not to discuss the flat earth pretty much says all that needs to be said. (Is the moon flat, too? Enquiring minds want to know.)

Hillary might run again in 2024?

I think she has a lust to be the First Woman President that transcends all rationality. I doubt the Democrat machinery or voters share her lust. If she is the best the Democrats can do in 2024, that would speak volumes. In both parties, I keep wondering why the younger generations that dominate...

‘Trust the Science’ Does Not Convince Those Who Most Need to be Convinced

Thanks. I'm certainly hoping it was correct, but I don't know or have any great confidence that it was. If the vaccine had been J&J rather than Moderna, I'd be feeling more unsure. I really couldn't argue with my wife when she refused to get the booster. Relative to the point in the OP, I...

I tried to draw myself as an Animal Crossing animal villager

WAY better than a toddler would draw! I'd leave it just like it is. Attempted improvements usually end up not being improvements.

‘Trust the Science’ Does Not Convince Those Who Most Need to be Convinced

Nice try at putting words in my mouth. I didn't say I thought the vaccine was unnecessary, unwise and unhelpful. I said that because the science is such a conflicting morass, I'm not sure that getting the vaccine was necessary, wise or helpful. I exercised my best judgment at the time. You...

    WHY SALVATION CAN BE LOST

Yes, my point was that we are making the same point. :) One can say that the acceptance of Christ "creates the hope" of salvation or "opens the door" to salvation, but not that it completes a salvation that can later be lost. One very wise Christian site simply banned any and all further...

    WHY SALVATION CAN BE LOST

You're missing my point. Yes, we will be lost, but not because our salvation was lost. We're not saved at all unless and until we continue in the faith. We don't flip-flop from unsaved to saved to unsaved again.

    WHY SALVATION CAN BE LOST

Sorry, dear, you're not going to suck me into the bottomless quagmire of OSAS vs. non-OSAS. I came to Christ 52 years ago through a OSAS ministry. Been there, done that. I don't believe OSAS is the biblical position. If you do, may God bless you.

What could be the greatest pay per view in history

I'd pay for tickets as well, but then I'm 72 years old. If I were 35, I'd opt for watching a minor league hockey game. I don't know why the younger generations are willing to keep settling for these dinosaurs.

    WHY SALVATION CAN BE LOST

I believe it's misleading to talk of salvation being "lost." More accurately, salvation isn't achieved unless one continues in the faith until the end of one's earthly journey. It isn't something you "used to have" but then "lost."
