There has been an argument in the Christian community that those that die without Christ don't spend eternity in hell but are destroyed in hell at some point. That is something I think the Bible indicates and the eternal hell concept was invented by the old Catholic Church for intimidation...

I was just thinking today about a quote from Mike Tyson the boxer of all people that relates to how Christians deal with the devil, "Everyone has a plan until they're smacked in the mouth". And yeah, we've all fallen for the devils subtlety.

Yeah, I can relate to your thinking you were the hero in your youth but that changed pretty drastically when I met the Lord. Now I see myself as another saved sinner whose good works that I championed are seen as filthy rags.

And we know, regardless of how he couched his words, what he wanted his base to do as did they. Followers of a leader look as to how they are to act and what is wanted from them through more than one speech where Trump is obviously going to couch his words in ways that he will be able to avoid...

I don't see what that has to do with it. My point was that strong leaders, as you say that Trump is, are not necessarily good leaders.

But he was not being personally attacked in any way in that situation in John 2:15 so I don't see how turning the other cheek applies. When Jesus was ever personally attacked he turned the other cheek and never sought revenge (which Trump is the king of revenge!) Thanks for the reply.
