    Progress Radio Spouts Takeover Theory

That is a plot worthy of an excellent movie. But given Trump's usual clown car of "advisors", it is HIGHLY unlikely ANY of them could put any of that together into a coherent plan. I think the first step would be followed by Donny drinking a gallon of bleach, decreeing himself an Asgardian god...

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

And my claim still stands as more evidenced than anything else so far we've discussed. If you have no counter then my claim carries the day. Unless, of course, you have reason to believe it is in error. And by that I mean positive reason to believe it is in error, not just your lack of...

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

It appears you have recently discovered the truism that "correlation does not mean causation", which is true of EVERYTHING. Literally everything you THINK you know falls due to that exact same truism. EVERYTHING. There isn't one thing you think you know that cannot be thus taken down. It is...

12 Mississippi children in ICU, 10 on ventilators

I didn't say that was her only choice. I am one of those people who got the vaccine (was willing to take the risk for what it might do to me) so that I could be part of the solution to the problem. I tend to live by my beliefs and not just pray in the public square so that I may be seen.

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

I see you cannot provide any alternative explanations. But I understand because if you said any of them out loud it wouldn't sound "good".

Well, that's pretty heartless. Jesus wept.

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

I am open to other suggestions. Since race is the primary explanatory variable one assumes racism must have something to do with it (especially since we know race is a made up construct but RACISM is quite real). Would you like to suggest to me why year over year for decades median black...

12 Mississippi children in ICU, 10 on ventilators

I, too, wonder what it must be like. I can only assume it isn't really a desire to be like that, but rather springs from a sense of self righteousness informed by ignorance. I don't wish to attribute to malice that which can be best described less malevolently. To be quite fair I also...

12 Mississippi children in ICU, 10 on ventilators

There are choices we all make. Some people choose to let others be harmed so that they not be inconvenienced or take any risks themselves. Some people find even wearing a mask to be such an imposition they'd rather see other people harmed than make that choice.

So to the grandmother that is immunocompromised and under treatment for cancer and cannot get the vaccine she can choose to go to the store and die? That's your proposition for her?

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

The primary factor explaining the difference in income is race. Unless you think that the vast majority of black people are somehow "less" than white people there is something of interest there. If it isn't racism, what is it do you think? Is it because all those black people are just poor...

12 Mississippi children in ICU, 10 on ventilators

I am confused. What did you mean by: Did you mean they have the CHOICE, not your insistence? But if they die if they go out that isn't a great choice, is it?

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

That is fine. Either way, if you wish to use the phrase "ethnicity-based discrimination" I'm OK with that and we both agree heartily that it is "sinful". I think that is why Christianity has, within it's power, a great way to address this sin! In many ways those of us who are white benefit...

12 Mississippi children in ICU, 10 on ventilators

That isn't how it works. While I agree one should do with their body what one feels most comfortable with, merely opting out of taking part in moderating the spread of the virus by insisting that OTHERS stay home is selfish and not helpful. There are people who are unable to get the...

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

Well if that's the case there's SO MUCH "individual" ethnic bias (whatever that means) to result in statistically significant differences in median incomes based solely on race. I'd call that a problem, wouldn't you? I wonder what you mean, though, by your phrase "ethnic bias" and your...

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

Race is a made up concept. But that being said, the effects of racism have been very real. We cannot move past racism until we accept that they have been and continue to be real. Do you not agree that racism is a real thing?

Difficulties in the BLM movement leadership

This is a good point. There are honest people of good faith who are white who really want to learn how to NOT be part of the problem. And often they are lumped in with others who are far more resistant to anything like self-reflection and who DO represent real honest-to-goodness racism. The...
