Does true repentance mean no longer having fear?

The Bible tells us that it is good to be afraid, Provide 24:8a, 'Happy is the man that feareth alway..' Being fearful is good. Being afraid of losing our jobs means we will be on work on time. Being afraid of having bad credit will mean we will make sure we pay our bills. The difference is...

Why is there no evidence that Jesus baptised with immersion in water?

The act of water baptism simply represents our Saviour's sacrifice on the cross. We are immersed in water and rise, as Jesus died and rose from the grave. Jesus did not Baptise with water because he didn't. Salvation is by faith in Jesus. The baptism of Spirit is for those who believe in Him...

What are your opinions on taking antidepressants?

If you are asking from a biblical perspective Luke in the bible was a medical doctor. Medicine is a blessing and under the direction of medical professionals is the way to go.

    Creationism/Evolution

I don't see these things as issues. Genesis says the moon is the lesser light to rule the night, but it doesn't make any claims as to what generates that light. As for the day, I'm happy to accept that 24 hours is how long it takes for the earth to complete a full revolution.

    Creationism/Evolution

I explained to you why we know that Peter when he refers to Psalms he is being metaphorical about the time span of a day but Genesis is not being metaphorical about the time span of a day, in this instance it means quite literally the 24 hour period. I agree day can have a fluid interpretation...

    Creationism/Evolution

He's not, it's you who's confused. This is something related to why when Jesus tells us about the rich man in Hell and Lazarus that we know it is a literal story and not metaphorical, because Jesus follows the Biblical way of presenting an actual situation rather than those with other meanings...

    Creationism/Evolution

There is a common thread in the Bible that when like, or as is used that it is letting the reader know that it is metaphorical, A day is LIKE (or AS) a thousand years. Peter is referring to Psalm 90:4, 'For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in...

    Beware the Nicolaitans

Oh here we go again. It was common in early church history to use the term to describe a number of heresies. I've already spoken with you in your other thread and found you argumentative. If you want to dictate again rather than discuss it's up to you, but I'm out. Have a good day and thanks...

Do you mean evidence of what those words mean in Greek?

    Beware the Nicolaitans

Nobody knows what the doctrines of the Nicolaitans were. My personal inclination is that it is people who want to rule over the congregation rather than serve them in love. I base this on; “nikao” in Greek means “to conquer,” and “laos” means “the people,” This is still applicable today...

    Creationism/Evolution

The Bible gives an explanation for the creation of man, and that explanation is used in the NT to explain why Jesus had to die. I think that this explanation in the Bible is not only rejected by people because they don't believe (if it's good enough for the Apostle Paul then why is it not good...

    Creationism/Evolution

I recall reading how the male Y chromosome is degrading and there could come a point where it has degraded so much that pregnancy could become very difficult to impossible, at least to produce male offspring (without both sexes the spieces would die). I found this to be very interesting.

    Creationism/Evolution

This then leads to the problem, if Paul was wrong about using Adam to explain why we have a sin nature and why Jesus had to die as the second Adam, how do we even then know we have the right Gospel at all?

Police Barricade and force closure of Canadian Church

Because their husband/wife/carer/child might catch covid from you and bring it home so you want vulnerable people to live in solitary confinement so you can selfishly sit in an overcrowded building for an hour instead of either following social distance guidance or just watching the sermon on...
