Christ said that if you believe that you would see the glory of God. It was Christs faith that resurrected Lazarus. Sure, He knew. Christ is God. But He prayed to the Father and demonstrated resurrection through his faith rather than through knowledge of past, present, and future.

I think about Lazarus having been dead for 4 days before being resurrected by Christ. Has this been done in modern times? If not, why not?

And then ask for babies.

There's someone from work that has been going through a difficult time and I've been slowly ministering to her the gospel. She has been attentive to it but we aren't quite there yet. Lord, help me to lead this woman to You. Put her on the everlasting path of righteousness and eternal salvation.

Good post. Ultimately, I think we have to see whether the prophetic dream if you will (which glorifies God) comes to pass or not to truly know for sure. I don't want to fall for anything that came from satan or anything that was merely a coincidence.

My example was not a "God glorifying" way. Ever heard of the term "trophy wife"? It's a status symbol and those that aren't Christian will often desire a gorgeous woman for a wife for the purpose of being their trophy.

But if your need is based on sin then it isn't good and it doesn't come from God. Look at the life of Christ as a reflection of how we should live.. He didn't desire to be crucified obviously, who would? But He acknowledged to the Father, "Your will be done." God doesn't get what He desires...

Remember that not all of our desires are given to us by God. Some of our desires are sinful and we may even want marriage and children based on sinful motives. We may proudly idolize that lifestyle.. "Here are my wife and kids as they are my trophies and representations of my accomplishments."...

Many times God allows bad things to happen that are intended to prepare us for something great. The testing of your faith produces endurance. Look at everything that happened in Josephs life before his dreams were finally fulfilled.

Some people idolize their desires and God isn't going to answer prayers that correlate with you receiving those desires that you idolize. Gotta put God first.
