    What Power Does Satan Have?

Wow...that's the best explanation I've ever heard!

    Who's Your Momma?

I never claimed Joseph Smith was a prophet. As I've stated before, they were both "fathers" or "leaders" of various Christian teachings. They both had a tainted history which their modern adherents try to keep hidden. You seem to be the one claiming Joseph Smith was a prophet.

    Who's Your Momma?

Thank you for the apology, but I'm not sure this is the time or place to further dispute what I personally believe regarding the LDS church, Calvinism or Christianity in general.

    Who's Your Momma?

When did I claim to be LDS? I am not. Nor have I ever claimed anything regarding Joseph Smith. Can you please point out to me how you arrived at these conclusions? Sounds like you are putting words in my mouth...again! Could you please stop? Tallyn

    Who's Your Momma?

No, I am not. I believe it is unfair for people to attack the character of the LDS founder, then turn around and whine and complain when history about their founder is revealed (Calvin).

    Who's Your Momma?

My accusation against Calvin was in response to ccwoody's accusations about Joseph Smith. It was meant to point out that all religious sects have a sorted history. If my post (backed up with historical evidence) was flamebait, then so was ccwoody's post regarding Joseph Smith.

    Who's Your Momma?

The quotes I provided show that John Calvin would not let Servetus leave Geneva alive. Calvin was intent on killing Servetus. "Calvin had him [Servetus] arrested as a heretic. Convicted and burned to death."- The Wycliffe Biographical Dictionary Of The Church, p. 366. "Calvin had thus murdered...

    Who's Your Momma?

When did I claim anything about JS? Why are you putting words into my mouth? Didn't you just jump all over someone for doing this to you? I demand an apology! Quit putting spin on history ccwoody. It's time to swallow your pride and admit your leader was responsible for murder. John Calvin even...

Our inability to save ourselves, or John was a Calvinist!

Perhaps you didn't read the scripture correctly: Romans 8:9 - However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. From what I understand Jerry_M was trying to draw a...

    Rev. 10:6

In short, I believe this verse puts a timestamp on John's vision - That the events of Revelation (Apocolypse) were about to happen. -Tallyn

AD66-70: The Day the Son of Man was revealed

I feel that Christ came to earth in 70AD and He is still here! This is what is truly great. He didn't leave us. Even most Christians will agree that He abides with us, wiping tears from our eyes, comforting us in our times of need. This is what is meant by living in HIS kingdom....and His...

AD66-70: The Day the Son of Man was revealed

With this assertion being made I must ask for your side of the proof which leads you to believe Revelation was written in the late 80's or 90's. With that said: John, in Revelation is asked to measure the Temple. Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff, and I was told, “Come and...

AD66-70: The Day the Son of Man was revealed

If you encompassed God's plan within the Old Testament only, you'd find it to be incomplete, hence, less true. Where would we be today if we only had the Old Testament? Okay, he did indeed appear to many disciples, but not only to prove He was Christ, but also to reveal the mysteries...

AD66-70: The Day the Son of Man was revealed

Once again.....you are stating that Salvation was accomplished prior to Christ's resurrection. Are you sure about this? This sounds more "unorthodox" than the "preterist" beliefs. Rather the word Christ uttered was "tetelestai" which truly means "paid in full". Shepherds and priests used it...

AD66-70: The Day the Son of Man was revealed

You don't see this? Something that is completed is much more credible than something which has been left unfinished.  Salvation was finished at His return. By your logic Salvation was finished before he was even resurrected. You better reconsider your answer. Matthew 24 -...

AD66-70: The Day the Son of Man was revealed

But yet this is exactly what futurists do. Those who believe He has yet to come "put off" his Lordship until he returns and establishes His HOLY kingdom on earth. They find themselves stuck, waiting for His return, waiting until sin is done away with, and for His perfect...

AD66-70: The Day the Son of Man was revealed

Let me restate. The "Second Resurrection" took place at virtually the same time as the "Rapture". We will not all die, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will...
