Mandatory (mRNA) Vaccine - The Orthodox Response

Why do you keep bringing up flat-earth? You are the one bringing fantasy into this and unable to have a rational discourse. If you are cool with taking vaccines, go ahead and do it. I explained why I don't use them. I don't really understand why facts have you so irate that you have to attack my...

Mandatory (mRNA) Vaccine - The Orthodox Response

I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't seen , experienced or heard of anyone known by me or by anyone I know, who has had the problems you mention here with covid. It may be that people are experiencing those things and I am truly sorry for them and their families. The only person I know who has been...

Mandatory (mRNA) Vaccine - The Orthodox Response

Actually, I'm not. Do you know how vaccines are created and what they are made from? They include heavy metals and other toxins, like formaldehyde, they have human dna, even Bill Gates has admitted they are "gene therapy". The flu is an inconvenient and uncomfortable illness for most people...

Mandatory (mRNA) Vaccine - The Orthodox Response

Survival rate is still over 99%. And vaccines are still created using aborted children, some even including the cells of aborted children and animals. Vaccines are far more deadly than the flu.

    Never received my Icons

I have had ordered icons from Uncut Mountain and St Isaac's Skete, with good results. St. Isaac's did stop producing icons for a while due to "covid", so my shipment was delayed, but I did receive my icons eventually!

Francis Chan discusses the Eucharist (and Church Fathers) with Bible Answer Man and a Metropolitan

Thanks for sharing this! I just saw the first few minutes, but it looks good. I have never been a fan of Francis Chan, but will pass this on to my protestant friends. It is nice to see him appearing humble and showing an interest in learning. May he see the truth and have the courage to share...

    Learning Greek

Thanks, I appreciate what you're saying. In fairness to the monastery, they choose to use Greek and are kind enough to allow pilgrims to join them for their services. They aren't a parish. I do belong to an English-speaking parish, but when my parish was closed due to "covid", the monastery was...

    Considering making a change

I came out of a Southern Baptist church, in a very small town and I had the same experience and concerns. I have found that for the most part, those I had a true connection with and those who had a true desire for God, have been very understanding of my move to Orthodoxy, even if they are...

    Learning Greek

My daughter and I would like to learn the type of Greek which is used during services at the Greek monastery. I have heard that multiple types may be used in the services (maybe one type for chanting and another for the liturgy?). Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, what types are...

The Catholic Church Has a Visible White-Power Faction: An Orthodox Problem As Well

gzt: The only hate and racism I've seen here has been from you. I will just remove myself so that I won't be bothered anymore.

The Catholic Church Has a Visible White-Power Faction: An Orthodox Problem As Well

Please, please, please, I work hard to keep my physical and mental environment as free of hate as possible and this guy is continually bringing it up. Do these hateful and racist posts really belong in an Orthodox forum?

    Best catechesis videos?

There are a ton of great videos of Metropolitan Jonah Paffhaussen's catechism lectures on YouTube. There are 13 videos called "enquirer's classes" and a lot of others which are pretty easy to find in a search. I also really like lectures by Frederica Matthewes-Greene, she has a beautiful and...

    Re-baptism vs. Chrismation

Yeah, this pretty much sums it up. Also, it's such a gigantic cultural leap. Even RC is pretty normal around here, but EO is a whole other world. Also, actually living what the Church teaches is a cultural leap. My son has been mentally and academically preparing for yrs. already to become a...
