A prophecy of China and Saudi Arabia

Hello everyone! Which nations are God's enemies? Well, I believe that the Bible clearly indicates both China and Saudi Arabia to be enemies of God. This video explains why. I welcome your comments!

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

Wow! Ok. Can't say I agree with you but it's amazing how specific a world view you have.

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

Very good comment! I think I agree, but it sounds like you're a little more in favor of democracy than me. I'm not against voting, of course, in a democracy. I just think that there are a lot better systems of governments than democracy. But the best system of government is largely dependent...

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

I think that's a bit of a false dichotomy. It's not "one or the other", unless the government of man comes in conflict with the Kingdom of God. Part of the Kingdom of God includes submission to authorities, because God has put them in their place. Sure, I get that you're arguing we shouldn't...

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

It's pretty simple. Things that the Bible doesn't forbid are acceptable.

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

I'd love to see a Biblical explanation for that!

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

Sounds pacifist to me. Upon reading the Bible, I have not come to the conclusion that Christianity is pacifist. The position of the Christian is not only to pray, but to speak out boldly against injustice. To change society. And to protect the innocent. Never thought of David as a pacifist...

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

In some cases, true enough. But, for one, that's because we have a society of convenience. A society that makes people lazy. But, I mean, look at this election. How many do you think are going to sit out because they can't bring themselves to vote for either Trump or Biden? I know that was...

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

Not quite. I think Augustine expounded on this passage the best. And empires are best equipped to do just that. "Augustine of Hippo claimed that, while individuals should not resort immediately to violence, God has given the sword to government for good reason (based upon Romans 13:4) "he...

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

I mean that we once didn't even vote for Senators. Now we do. True enough, most people don't vote precisely because they see the failure of democracy.

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

In writing to the Romans, Paul stated: Rom 13:1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Rom 13:2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those...

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

Very good. Although I don't think they went far enough honestly. But then, we've become more democratic since the founding fathers so that's not really fair I guess.

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

Umm, well that and that Plato had a significant influence on early Christian thought. And, Plato hated democracy.

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

I'm not sure I understand your point. Yes, God's kingdom will put an end to all others, including our democracies.

Why did the early Christians hate Democracy?

Good quote. Can't say I agree though. It's just the worst form of government. An empire is far better, in my eyes. And I think the early church would agree.

    the dispensationalism of Irenaeus

Just going through the posts again. Not entirely sure I agree with this statement. I certainly agree that the reign of the antichrist is 3.5 years. I think that the tribulation lasts for as long as the antichrist reigns. Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle...

    the dispensationalism of Irenaeus

    1. In a still clearer light has John, in the Apocalypse, indicated to the Lord's disciples what shall happen in the last times, and concerning the ten kings who shall then arise, among whom the empire which now rules [the earth] shall be partitioned. He teaches us what the ten horns shall be...

    the dispensationalism of Irenaeus

Not trying to be rude or anything, I'm not understanding the meaning of your post. You seem to be saying that Irenaeus is referring to general tribulation? He's not. He specifically mentions the kingdoms that give their power to the beast. Please correct me if I misunderstood your post.
