A very quick update: After prayerful consideration, I have switched to the Republican Party. They share my core values more than the Democrats do.

Just an update... Dan Lipinski, a representative from Illinois shares a lot of my views (again, he and I are in the minority). Plus, the original post did not represent my personal views, just my generalization of conservatives in general.

In the national realm, very few Democrats are elected to office that share the majority of my views. The state affiliates seem to run conservative candidates(unfortunately, Jon Bel Edwards-Louisiana's governor- is the only elected official that shares my views)

Not in my state, however, I agree with David Clarke (former Milwaukee County sheriff) and Jon Bel Edwards (current governor of Louisiana). I have to stress that I do not agree with Clarke's way of describing opposing views.
