Let’s even put this in your phrasing. Birds and reptiles share a common ancestor in dinosaurs. The reptiles split off from the birds, and became different enough to be considered their own class of animals.

So you recognize that eukaryotes are descendants of prokaryotes, but still think that the taxonomy of a species can’t change over time? The mind boggles.

Also, I see that you didn’t refute the ‘humans being prokaryotes’ belief. Do you actually believe that humans are a subset of primordial bacteria?

They’re still two separate classes, due to the biological differences between them.
