Any death in the garden of eden?

Hi, I was wondering what creationists think about death and early Genesis. Assuming people didn't eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and they ate from the tree of life, I assume they'd live forever... what about animals? Would they die? Perhaps if they ate from the tree of...

Aussies: U.S. as Dangerous as al-Qaida

The thing about the U.S. is that Australia follows it into battle a lot, even if the majority of Australians didn't want to. Like in the case of Iraq, Vietnam, and perhaps other examples. Australia would be doing that because we're long-time allies with the U.S. since they helped prevent a...

Australia Has Baby Boom After Gov't Push

I agree. But the world can fit a lot more people on it than it has now. But quality of life for people on a very crowded world would be lower. A lower proportion of people would have the luxury of spacious homes and politically, a single vote would be a more insignificant percentage than before...

    1st Impressions of "I'm a Bright" vs. "I'm a Brite"

MQTA: I have the same beliefs as Brights except that I haven't joined the movement since that involves calling myself a "Bright"... Since they're fellow naturalists I guess I shouldn't undermine their cause...

    Is dust the snakes' food?

muslimah: Just wondering, who is the tempter in the Moslem version of the garden of Eden story? Is it Satan rather than a snake? Does it say what Satan looks like? (Just like a human?) Does he tempt them to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil?

(Christians especially) What do you think of "Brights"?

Some philosophical naturalists are calling themselves "Brights" (noun)... not Bright (capitalized adjective). I mean in the sentence "I am a bright" it is used as a noun... "That person is bright" uses an adjective.

    1st Impressions of "I'm a Bright" vs. "I'm a Brite"

MQTA: Well the Brights movement only began about a year or two ago. They've had articles in some major newspapers but I think it is good they're not widely known beside it means they might be more open-minded about changing their name... Articles: Richard Dawkins, The Guardian, "The future...

    1st Impressions of "I'm a Bright" vs. "I'm a Brite"

Well in speech, if someone says that sounds arrogant you could say "it's B-R-I-T-E silly!" And Dawkins and the people behind thinking up "Bright" liked the how "gay" apparently seems warm and fuzzy... they wanted a name like that for themselves... I think "brite" is like that... like "gay" it...

    1st Impressions of "I'm a Bright" vs. "I'm a Brite"

Another poll... BTW, a "Bright" is a person who has a naturalistic worldview. i.e. they're free of supernatural and mystical beliefs. But that is irrelevant since I'm just wondering what general impression people have of the label "Bright" (and "Brite").

(Christians especially) What do you think of "Brights"?

Well the only thing this poll is polling is your beliefs and how snobbish you think the phrase "I'm a Bright" sounds. So if you think the phrase is really weird-sound but not snobbish then you should pick "I'm a Christian, the phrase doesn't sound snobbish." Thanks.

(Christians especially) What do you think of "Brights"?

...it's good that you haven't heard it before because I'm looking for people's first impressions. But the point is, you've heard of the phrase "I'm a Bright" now! Please do a real vote so I can see what Christians think... a majority of Americans are Christians after all. You can find more...

(Christians especially) What do you think of "Brights"?

Well the thing is, "Bright" isn't used to describe all atheists - because some atheists might believe in ghosts or astrology or reincarnation or something. "Bright" is meant to be a term to describe Naturalists, though the problem with that word is that it is commonly used to describe people who...

    Egyptian civilization is post flood!!!!!

BTW, this is what Answers in Genesis says: (expanding on what you said) http://www.answersingenesis.org/creation/v4/i1/noahs_flood.asp "The Biblical data places the Flood at 2304 BC +/- 11 years."

(Christians especially) What do you think of "Brights"?

I'm doing some research here about "Brights".... that is a fairly new word that describes people who have a naturalistic worldview... i.e. they don't believe in mystical or supernatural stuff.

Freedom777: This is what Answers In Genesis says: Which arguments should definitely not be used? So how old do you think the earth is then? Remember that that layer was dated at about 13,000 years old. If you think the carbon dating technique used was inaccurate to try and say that...

It is talking about two men - Adam and Jesus. Adam is the first - Jesus is the second. Adam also happens to be the first man created.
