    Still Struggling with Conversion

Hello. I've posted in here before about wanting to convert, but my spouse has been against it. her biggest thing is not wanting to go to separate churches as we have 2 young kids and don’t want to confuse them. I’ve told her I’d go to Saturday Vigil or early Sunday Mass and then go with her to...

    LCMS - How often?

You can get it weekly at mine, but it alternates services. 1 service 1st and 3rd Sunday. The other service 2nd and 4th. All services if there’s a 5th.

    Any previous Catholics here?

I haven't been on this site in a couple of months, but was pleased to find this thread. I've been conflicted for some time about staying Lutheran or crossing the Tiber. This thread made me feel at ease somewhat about staying Lutheran.

    Altar Rails?

My understanding is it’s never been about separating the clergy, but about showing respect for Holy Communion.

People who haven’t read it are really missing out.

    Confessional Lutheran Converts?

I was going to tag @Daniel9v9 because he’s better than I could be at explaining it, but he beat me to the punch!

    Confessional Lutheran Converts?

It goes back to the Office of the Keys. “Whoever’s sins you forgive are forgiven.” The pastor isn’t forgiving you, he is announcing Christ’s forgiveness “in his stead.”

    Another Problem

I can sympathize with you. I’ve been on somewhat a journey the past few years, but I am firmly planted now in the Lutheran Church. I believe that the Lutheran Church teaches and confesses the catholic (little c) faith rightly. They kept what was good and threw out what was bad in the...

    Eucharistic Miracles

Eucharistic miracles really make you pause and think. One piece I just read made an interesting point. Most of these miracles have happened when a priest was doubting the real presence or it happened to someone who stole a consecrated host. Maybe what happened was meant only as a warning to the...

    Confessional Lutheran Converts?

Great story and confessional Lutheranism is the most comforting (in my view, anyways) way of Christianity. Takes the pressure off of yourself. God has done it all. We respond in love.

    It’s Biblical. It saves.

Considering Lutheranism - any converts here?

I saw an interesting take on this once. Someone said that on the day God created Adam, he was both 1 day old and also 35 (just to use an example) years old. The same could be said of all the other parts of creation. God created trees that were 1 day old, but if he created fully-matured trees...

Considering Lutheranism - any converts here?

I don’t get held up on issues like that, personally. God created it all and he created the first man (Adam) and first woman (Eve) and we are descended from them. The things that have drawn me to Catholicism is really reading the fathers. While they aren’t infallible, like Scripture, there...
