Hi all I went to a church ( while I was on holiday) last week and one topic that was brought up was, If we obey God he will bless us ? To me that sounds like a parent saying I give you something if you obey me, but I also heard that he blesses people who are not ? Kind of confused on this subject

I said that to my friend that it could have been the enemy stopping him form coming and the reply I got was, God is bigger than the enemy. I suppose time will tell and need more signs. I even said to God can the guy ask me out and then I will know.

The person does love the Lord that's one of the reason I like him. But my question, above, can God do something to answer your question/prayer that way ? God does give us a free will choice but I rather have God to help me/guide me and maybe this was one of those ways he answers prayers.

But then you could look at the other way, God could have stopped a cold from happening to make us get to meet up and spend time with each other, the only time we do spend time with each other is after church and that's not that long, so it has been a long time since we been invite to event.

I did think it was to do with Jesus coming on earth to live and understand like us as he walked on earth. But when he walked the earth he had no sin nature so how can he or we relate to the issues with one with no sin nature and one with sin us ?

Hi all Why didn't God just take our sins away from God alone in Heaven without sending his Son Jesus to die on this cross ?
