Should you date born again Christian women?

I think your elders have said more of malice than of wisdom and forgiveness. I'm praying about a young woman and I would love her if I found out she wasn't a virgin. Christ loves us, Hosea loves his wife, and God loves the church, all of this while the beloved is unfaithful.

    The holy scriptures

I was conversating with an unbeliever once at church and came to the realization that being born again is much like Plato's cave -- so much so, in fact, that I came to the realization that beginning and going through this Christian walk is a "cave" of it's own-- being born unto life in faith...

How can I enter into God's rest?

Pardon me, I can't remember which version of the Bible this is from. "... This shall bring rest, if one refresh the weary, yes this shall bring rest." From Isaiah 28. I think it means to care for the poor, and the disadvantaged, and God will grant us rest. I pray this helps.

    Concerns about church

All in all that sounds like a pretty solid church to try to get into. You don't have to sign away your life at first glance. I think the Bible is clear about women in the church, but if she's not teaching then that's at least more acceptable. As for lighting a joint, I'm on the fence about that...

    please anyone read

Believe and do good. I'm convinced that belief saves us, and good works prepares us for Christ's judgment. And it's reasonable things that you must do-- caring for the poor, orphans, widows, sick, etc. May I do your will, Lord.

    An introduction and a question.

Welcome, Jackson. You're going to get different answers from different people. I as well advise an emphasis on Scriptural Truth, though you're probably going to have to do some online research to find a church you're looking for.

    Inspired?

I find it worth remembering that the law was given to an imperfect people-- one with a history of 400 years of slavery. Regardless, these people (as people are today) were far from the ideal, thus the commands given reflect that imperfection. The law was, in part, designed to curb evil, in...

    Inspired?

Well, violence and cruelty would be seen by man, no? For God does acts of violence, but the recipients are seen as being worthy, yes? And as to errors, the texts have stood the test of time. As requested, I will show no examples.

    Looking for Miracles

I guess I would call a miracle any thing in which God's hand is observable -- defiance of the odds, "coincidences," out-right defiance of nature, etc. Thanks for all the posts so far!

    Looking for Miracles

Hi, I'm looking to see if I can expand my faith by hearing about some word-of-mouth miracles and taking them seriously. I will take you seriously. If you would post a short synopsis about your miracle(s) that would be greatly appreciated. For my miracle, I have to say that a pastor at my...
