    Just diagnosed with Asperger's...

Thanks for the thoughtful posts! I'm not sure if I'm being misunderstood here, I wasn't complaining or asking for sympathy. In fact I'm ecstatic! Going from a misdiagnosis of a mental illness that has a lot of negative stigma attached to the proper diagnosis (that without a doubt has a lot...

    Just diagnosed with Asperger's...

The problem isn't getting the joke, it's recognizing that it's a joke! One of my problems is I take things literally, it leads to people not liking me. For example, I say something, they say a joke, I take it literally and they get offended. Then I feel bad!

    Just diagnosed with Asperger's...

Perhaps a better way to phrase it, is my mind works in a slightly different way. There are other people whose minds also work in a way similar to mine and we might be able to communicate and get along better! As for analysis and self absorption, I've struggled with it! I agree there is a...

    Just diagnosed with Asperger's...

I'm reaching out I guess. Since I have such a hard time making friends and keeping those friendships going, maybe I can find some friends who understand where I'm coming from! This is huge change, previously I was diagnosed with Adhd and Odd as a child and as an adult PD, Agoraphobia, and...

What do Christians use for protection from evil spirits?

While sage isn't inherently evil, lol, I think it's just better to leave anything connected with other spiritual practices out of the question if you're interested in becoming a christian. Relying on anything other than God for spiritual protection is wrong.

What do Christians use for protection from evil spirits?

If not, the willingness to ask for Christian advice, and the speaking of trying to make real changes in life for God, it would seem God is working in the OP's life. Of course, acceptance of Jesus's sacrifice is paramount!

What do Christians use for protection from evil spirits?

Prayer is my suggestion. It's not that I don't think the things you're doing don't have any kind of effect, it's that the Bible forbids their use. Maybe things will get worse, but as the Bible has numerous examples of, God gives us opportunities to show we trust him. Maybe this is one of them...

I think I know what you mean. To me, the language seems more poetic than other versions I've read. I still use others for comparison though too.:)

    Hello, WorthyCause4Christ here~!

Welcome!:) It's impossible to pick, but these are verses that come to my mind often. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalms 118:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ...

do i do what makes them happy or me happy

I tried for years to mesh faiths together. That uncertainty was the eventual end, though it took years to get it through my head. I compromised, reasoned, rationalized..all the tactics of the world to make faith fit into the box I wanted. I only felt truly at peace, when I realized it wasn't...
