    A question about unbelievers sin

Yes, we have free will. But God knows what choices we will make and still places us where He does. Could He not choose to place unbelieving people in another time/place where they would ultimately believe?

    A question about unbelievers sin

From what I understand, God is in control of who is born and the details of their creation such as when, where, how, etc. He also has perfect for knowledge, I believe, since he is omniscient, and not time bound like we are. So He knows how each person will respond to each situation he/she...

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

Im familiar with the Greek word aionios. It can also mean forever depending on the context. If what you said was true there would be a major problem for believers. Aionios is the same NT greek word used to describe eternal life believers have in Jesus. So, if its only interpreted as "a period...

If the Christian God is the only God, why do many people seem to experience god in other religions

Maria.V.H I respectfully disagree. Your thoughts are not based off of a sound knowledge of Scripture; not biblical.

If the Christian God is the only God, why do many people seem to experience god in other religions

The first commandment says you have no other gods before me Exodus 20:3 God in the bible repeatedly reveals that he is a jealous God and not to place anything else before Him. So why in the world would He then speak to someone who believes that they are talking to another god? That would be...

If the Christian God is the only God, why do many people seem to experience god in other religions

I don't believe that any/all religion leads to God. I believe that faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way. However, so many people seem to genuinely encounter god (God?) through other religions... How can this be?

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

It would be very satisfying if I could accept this answer, however, the bible has many verses that refer to those in hell suffering "forever and ever" or for eternity. A couple examples: Rev.20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and...

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

I maintain that God does not "need" us. He requires that we put Him first and submit because we need Him. As creatures we long for, or need, our Creator and sustainer. He demands that of us because He and only He is worthy of it. We should not yearn for anything worldly. But the Holy Spirit that...

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

Yes. God is empathetic, not sentimental. All this is starting to make sense to me now. Thank you for all your replies, I really appreciate it!

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

Do you mean that, because we all perceive the world differently due to personality, experiences, etc. we all perceive the Christian God differently? God doesn't change. There is only one God, and He reveals himself to us personally, so I guess we all see Him and relate to Him a little...

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

Having emotions means He is sentimental does it not? Why doesn't He destroy the ones in hell?

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

I believe God is just even though I can't fathom people suffering for eternity. Yes, He did enough. Still, I guess I wonder if, after the end times and all the believers are in heaven, will God ever think about the lost souls who are suffering

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

He is not changed, but He has emotions. He deeply loves us. So, existing and knowing that so much if His creation is suffering would move Him in some way I would think. Or does He implement justice and then just not think about them?

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

Because He still loves those people.

Will God suffer emotionally for eternity for those in hell?

Trying to wrap my head around this...God is pained by the fact that many will go to hell. Eternal hell. So, does that mean that God will forever feel pain? In a sense, will God suffer emotionally for eternity because He will forever be aware of those in hell, whom He loves, suffering for eternity?

We would have sinned whether or not Satan was involved, so why would God put Satan here on earth?

Ok, I understand. But, God created Satan, and put him here with us to tempt us...how is it worth it for God to tempt us, to have many lead astray and end up in hell? How can God be ok with all those precious souls spending eternity in hell? Wouldn't God feel the pain of this for all of eternity?

We would have sinned whether or not Satan was involved, so why would God put Satan here on earth?

Adam and Eve had free will; the choice whether or not to put their faith in God. I believe that even if Satan hadn't tempted them they would have been capable of sin. Its not Satan's fault that we are sinners right? We take responsibility for our sins.

We would have sinned whether or not Satan was involved, so why would God put Satan here on earth?

It seems that He is exacerbating the problem. We are sinners regardless of Satan and his influence on us. I understand God wants us to be tested & refined so that we can grow in faith, but why throw Satan in the mix? It seems it would only make it more likelier that people would end up in hell...

    Struggling....

You always have God to turn to, even when you can't feel his presence. Tell him exactly what you are struggling with. Praying that He will guide you in whatever you are dealing with.
