Lucifer in Isaiah 14 can't be anyone else but Satan...

So if they left lucifer in in 2nd Peter would you tell me it's another name for Jesus? If you look at the Bible in Latin you'll see the connection and why modern translation don't have Lucifer in Isaiah.

Lucifer in Isaiah 14 can't be anyone else but Satan...

No that doesn't fit at all in the same line of thinking, Lucifer was never a name, Is not a name, In 2nd peter in latin it describes jesus as lucifer (morning star) because lucifer is an adjective not a name. The KJV translators left that word in there because they were not sure how to translate...

How did the Thessalonians get confused about the Day of the lord?

after reading a lot of your posts, I think you present the eschatology well. The Protestant/catholic thing well thats another topic, I don't think I would like to get into with you. Lucifer in Isaiah 14 can't be anyone else but Satan...

This is talking about the king of Babylon, and how he wanted to be a God, and that most kings have proper royal burials, and God is making sure this king does not have anything after death. If satan was cast out of heaven in this, how did he keep going back later? Lucifer is not a name! Its a...

Lucifer is not a name but a word In 2 Peter 1:19, the KJV renders the Greek word φωσφόρος (phosphoros) as ‘day star.’ Again, the Latin Vulgate has lucifer here: et habemus firmiorem propheticum sermonem cui bene facitis adtendentes quasi lucernae lucenti in caliginoso loco donec dies inlucescat...

I know there is a few catholics with this latter view, But New to hearing about each different camp, I want to see who can help me, that shares the protestant faith hopefully, because I don't want a catholic/protestant debate, as reading though the old posts, it seems when they always just...

Signs of the Times... what do you see?

Peter is referring to the spirt coming at pentecost, nothing more nothing less. The sun darkening and moon turning to blood is symbolic of a "great day" a turning point, A day of the lord. Its referred to many times during a fall of an empire, or a turning event. Its not about the end of the world.

How did the Thessalonians get confused about the Day of the lord?

I don't see how can you make something in that verse that isn't there, such as a rapture in that chapter. If the rapture is so important then the bible would mention it more, then just some very vague words. The main concern about everything is the second coming. Im just trying to figure out, if...
