    Homosexuality.

Homosexuals are not sterile so can reproduce. A lot of homosexual couples, especially women will choose to have children by use of donor. Homosexual male couples adopt unwanted children and raise them. Not to mention isolation is one of the biggest killers and by desiring to pair up they're not...

    Growing potatoes in a trashcan

I have a tiny 2 1/2 acres, past years we raised about 75% of the food we ate along with supplementing 13-25 families weekly food purchases all summer so saving space is a must. :-)

Our dog is very immature for her age

A dog is a predatory pack animal. It needs to be treated as such meaning that there is a pecking order, your dog should be at the bottom of such in a human household, except for maybe other animals in the house but that's between the dog and the other animals. Dogs don't understand punishment...

    Growing potatoes in a trashcan

That was a cute video. In my experience you want to be careful with dark plastic and direct sunlight as you can overheat your plant inside. I use my own adaption to that method but not with a barrel, I use cinder blocks and I don't keep adding soil I add straw. I make a ring of blocks around my...

Why is the concept of "family" overrated?

You're not puzzle pieces you are people. As people you are individuals. The fantastic thing about being individuals is you bring something new to the table. How boring would life be if we were all the same. "Family" is not meant to be all the same person, it's meant to be individuals with their...

    Boating

Does kayaking count as boating? I love kayaking, it's like hiking with your arms. :-) I take the kids kayaking a lot during the summer. We have a couple of lakes we go to, set up camp, catch dinner and paddle around.

    Finals... :-/

I struggle with asking for help when I need it. Being a single mom for so long I have gotten pretty good at "doing it myself" although I do thank God for all his mercies a dozen times a day. I get a chuckle out of guests when they hear me thanking God when I go to the fridge (it's only a few...

When those trusted are the ones to fear the most

It's certainly discouraging when those we're suppose to look to for support and trust fall short. For some it's even closer to home or even in the home. Lust and free will is a unfortunate combination but thankfully those who subscribe to that path are the minority and not the rule of thumb.

Divorced people are the lepers of the modern American church.

Chaela... you should be careful not to isolate yourself in your quest to seek God. I'm guilty of calling my kayak on a lake my favorite church but we are indeed stronger overall when we accept the support of fellow believers. Sometimes I think Gods humor is putting so many different...

    What do you think?

    The playback wouldn't work.

Divorced people are the lepers of the modern American church.

A Men's group sounds like the perfect alternative. Instead of just sticking with your church you could use meetup. Just specify that it's a faith based support group for divorced men. I don't know about you but I wouldn't put an age limit on it, a younger man going through divorce would benefit...

Divorced people are the lepers of the modern American church.

Servant68... thank you so much for the lovely compliment. It looks like maybe you answered your complaint/observation. Maybe this is indeed why you haven't ran into many support groups for divorced people at church. Comparing a college singles group to a church singles group I think is a little...

Divorced people are the lepers of the modern American church.

Hey I'm new here so go easy on me. :-) I consider myself single because my ex-h turned out to be a soul sucking leach and I don't consider him anymore because of it. Since I was married at some point in the past I get the stigma also. How I work around this feeling of spoiled goods is first I'm...

    Hello

Hi and Thanks! Fitting everything in is a constant learning curve. Each semester begins that learning curve again. Ha ha. :-/ I do try to keep work/school during the kids school hours.

    Hello

Introducing myself as requested. I'm Kay, single mom of two, I'm a full time student (back in college after umpteen years) working towards a MAT and I have a small business that I consider my part time job. Between school, kids and work I don't get a lot of free time to go out but would really...
