    Sanctity of marriage

The Bible clearly teaches that if two virgins leave their parents and join together they are married.

    Traditional Marriage

This works very well in practice. It is a lot of fun!

    Circumcision

And it seems to be working for me but I am okay with that. (I don't usually buy the iconic U.S. brand because of the association mentioned above!)

    Virgin marriage.

I like your claim 'There is nothing better than two virgins coming together fresh.' We know this from experience and it is a good way to set out the journey that marriage, inevitably, always is. ('Fresh' is a good word in a lot of ways!) The more a married couple has to share exclusively between...

    Circumcision

The radical procedure of cutting off the whole foreskin that is referred to as 'circumcision' nowadays is not the same as the 'circumcision in the flesh of his foreskin' that was given as a symbolic sign to Abraham. This current practice of cutting off the whole prepuce comes after the time of...

    Circumcision

I do understand your position. This topic is one that many people feel strongly about but they are mostly looking at different evidence as they seek to know the Christian answer to the question of whether we should circumcise our children or not. And we all have a cultural bias that makes it...

    Circumcision

True. We decided that they would have the choice.

    Circumcision

Some would say that parents who circumcise are making the decision for another.

    Circumcision

I don't asume that it isn't important to you. My point was that it is not important to most people who aren't Americans or Muslims.

    Circumcision

This whole discussion could only happen in the U.S.A. No other Christian country suffers from these perceived problems. They respect the right of individuals to chose for themselves whether to be whole or not.

    Circumcision

Surely the whole reason why this discussion continues is that neither point of view has evidence that the other finds sufficiently persuasive.

    Circumcision

Thank you for your reply. I still think it curious that males in the U.S. have hygiene problems that simply do not occur in Europe where very few are circumcised. The surgeon that attributed adhesions to a mother not pulling back the prepuce may not have known that the problem was most likely...

    Circumcision

You may not have seen what happens when it all goes wrong. More than a 100 babies die each year from 'circumcision' complications in the U.S. alone. I survived but with too much damage to ever have a normal sexual experience.

    Circumcision

Male genital mutilation is also designed to prevent men from enjoying the natural pleasures of sex.

    Circumcision

'Their son - their choice.' ??????? Is it? Are you sure about this?

    Circumcision

Is 50% plus of the U.S.A. male population circumcised for medical reasons that most of the rest of the world simply doesn't have? The percentage of circumcised in Europe is very small and they have very few medical problems that would be remedied by circumcision.

    Circumcision

I agree. But there are still people who believe that it is 'necessary' and believe there are valid reasons why it has become so. (Mostly since Mr Kellogg others believed they found new reasons to do it.)

    Circumcision

The idea that circumcision is done for reasons of hygiene is a modern opinion held by some in the U.S.A. Most of the rest of the non-Muslim world don't mutilate their genitals and do not have the hygiene problems that the circumcised in America are supposedly being saved from.

    Circumcision

I don't think we should assume that Abraham's circumcision had anything to do with his ability to procreate or even that he did actually hack off his prepuce using a rock and a piece of flint. It was given as a 'sign' and not the sort of sign that you would show to others to prove something. The...
