What needs explainig? You asked, I answered. Why would you ask if fees keeping poor people from legally buying a firearm is a problem?

I guess it depends on whether some people think poor people are not worth allowing to exercise rights or defend themselves.

Background checks are in place. Most new firearms are sold with external or internal locks. Onerous laws, to me, are ones at state level. State laws duplicatell federal and add on. Some states mandate guns have or not have features. Flash hiders, collapsible stocks, magazine fed, capacity, etc...

Not to mention just resorting to the illegal option to build your own.

It's horrible that the ATF determined these were legal and made no harder to buy than a gallon of milk. People should have to answer for this.

I have no love for either party. If people want to attribute blame, lack of response, etc...the bump fire stocks that replicate full auto fire in rifles were deemed legal and not restricted by ATF in 2010.

If there's a law maker proposing repeal and replace gun laws that would be enforced I'd appreciate a link. I haven't heard of this, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Whatever is developed and no matter how long it is, the law abiding will obey. Criminals will wipe themselves with it.

I haven't heard a politician talk about abolishing old laws and present new effective streamlined ones that will be enforced. I thought I heard "more". If politicians can actually think it through and do something effectively on a budget I would be pleasantly surprised.

Why add laws when don't enforce the laws we have? Why buy a summer home if you can't afford your first mortgage?

Then there's no need for additional laws. I saw so many gun possession charges dropped instantly when prosecuted it was ridiculous. Hardly any prohibited persons are pursued by ATF when they try to buy and are rejected.
