As Mari stated, remember this is OCD reassurance only feeds compulsions. We have to live in the uncertainty and trust that God knows our hearts. Remember he is faithful and that his grace is sufficient. I know I still need a reminder or two.

I have asked my pastor, Christian counselor, family, and friends and all had said it’s not sinful. My OCD was probably acting up again.

Has anyone experienced thoughts like these? I have intrusive thoughts that tell me to pray for forgiveness even though I know (believe) what I did was not sinful. But I feel guilty for it afterwards because it feels wrong to say “I’m not sorry” to God, it makes me feel like a prideful jerk.

Also when I pray how do I know that God is answering me or it’s my OCD? When I prayed for God’s answer on whether or not something was sinful. I heard a no and a yes in my head? Is it me, OCD, or God?
