can anyone explain what Paul is talking about when he says if we don't self judge and we take communion wrongly we will bring judgment upon ourselves? Is he saying that god will kill us if we take communion wrong? I'm confused

Your speaking of the times listed in the OT correct? In the New Testament judgment is reserved until judgment day so he wouldn't command that today? That's how I perceive it.
