Been having a real rough go of it recently.

You’re right about the meds, it becomes your new “normal”. It makes me so anxious to be under the effect of the drug. I hate it and the side effects were terrible. I know it’s worse in the beginning, but I don’t like the idea of withdrawals when trying to get off of it. I know these can be...

Been having a real rough go of it recently.

I have found that helping others feels good. A feeling of belonging is something I think I long for. I feel like a boat driving in circles with nowhere to go. My brain is highly analytical and doesn’t like not having a direction to go in. Thank you for you advice.

Been having a real rough go of it recently.

Thank you for the thoughtful response. It’s much appreciated. I was walking in sin, and it weighed heavily on my conscience. I think that and the feeling of an “anxiety relapse” is what’s causing the depression. I’m also single, and have always been because of a rampant inappropriate contentography...

Been having a real rough go of it recently.

I have been OK for awhile, but recently decided to try some stuff thats quite popular on the west coast to help with my anxiety (and for easier sleep). Suffice to say it backfired and left me having anxiety attacks a few days after. I have not felt this bad since I became afflicted end of 2016...

    Anxious and Alone

I totally understand what you are going through. I get the exact same answers from my parents and family members. God bless em but I just don’t think they understand anxiety. It’s not always spiritual but it certainly can be. Or a combination as one said earlier. What I’ve noticed is, it always...

    Severe anxiety flaring up

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I really appreciate it. There are unresolved issues, its just that some of them seem so insurmountable...Im the type of person that is all or nothing, and if I can't see a way out (of feeling anxious/panicky) then it just really messes me up and creates a...

    Severe anxiety flaring up

    Severe debt causing severe anxiety.

True, I need to just let it go and just live my life. I think I might need to find someone that does therapy, these deep set thinking patterns are hard to get out of once you've been dealing with them for a year. Its almost like i've become good at worrying and making up issues in my head to be...

    Severe debt causing severe anxiety.

Thank you all for the responses, I really appreciate it. Lack of a budget has really been a main factor in this. I have resolved to create a strict budget and adhere to it. But it will be very hard for the next year. After that I should get some breathing room as one of my loans(15k, 5k left...

    Severe debt causing severe anxiety.

Ive posted here a few times about my anxiety, it’s been horrid ever since it began end of last November. There are a lot of underlying reasons that I have anxiety, I believe the worst is the severe Debt. Some of you may know but when you are 30k in debt (credit card and personal loans) and have...

    It's an illness

Very interesting, having been recently slammed with mental issues (anxiety\OCD\panic) in the past year I've often wondered why me??? I was just some normal guy before with no issues to speak of. Now it's a struggle daily. I honestly never knew how bad this could be or affect a person. Until it...

Could use some prayer for GAD/panic.

2017 has been the hardest year of my life, without a doubt. End of 2016 I became afflicted with GAD (anxiety disorder) and it hit me like a truck. Later developed into OCD and panic attacks as well. Horrible insomnia for awhile, thank god that passed! Lord have mercy. Life just sucks at the...

Is it possible to be completely healed of anxiety or will i need medication?

Same here, I just keep waiting and praying hoping it will get better. Like you I am afraid of the various drugs and side effects. It's like once this thing takes hold it never lets go, terrible. I've found that talking it out can help greatly. CBT could be a potential treatment path.

    Problems at University

Praying for you, I know it can be tough. God doesn't give us more than we can handle. I've seen it hold true in my own life with my anxiety/OCD. Trust and believe!

Could use some prayers/advice for this GAD/OCD

Sure thing man. I tell yah, it was the breathing mess first and it snowballed bad on me. I think I've thought of about everything possible regarding this type of OCD. I think I could have stopped this from getting bad had I got CBT type help. But I guess you don't know it's bad till it's...

Could use some prayers/advice for this GAD/OCD

Thanks for the advice! My brother told me the same. I had recently fallen away from the church and God somewhat since I went to college and the few years after. I do agree that the best way to go about it is prayfully, just pray hard and hope that a door is opened or some path is shown. It...

Could use some prayers/advice for this GAD/OCD

Ever since I had a panic/anxiety attack over not sleeping one night (end of November 2016) my life has been near tourture. Or at least, that's how it feels. Full blown GAD and accompanying OCD (of the pure O type, sensorimotor). Meaning I fear that I must manually control breathing and such or...
