    We're not door mat's

What you may be witnessing are the dynamics of the behaviours of the various faithful (all walks/ages of life) at various stages of their transformation into the image of Jesus Christ. And false believers.

    Dealing with intense self hatred

Hi Sean, Jesus loves you and values so much that He sacrificed everything for you. He is your strength, your everything. Remember His example, remember how man treated Him. God defines you not man, don't look to man and their judgments. Look to the Word of God, Christ Jesus, who is the way...

    I think I was wrong

John 13:34-35 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Please can we all grow together in our Lord the Head of His body. Why cant...

"If you could lose your salvation, you would."

Agree, but we cant tell if they will turn back. James 5:19-20 19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul[a] from death and cover a multitude of sins.

Another point is that during the Judgment of Christians there will be degrees of reward and loss, however salvation isn't lost. 1 Corinthians 3:15

Also when reading Luke 15:11-32 21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet...

Yes and I am, but I cant make that judgment of others and I'm not sure if we are to know the status of others until Judgment.

"If you could lose your salvation, you would."

God is my judge and my craftsman, the pottery He forms me to be, I'll be. I don't use the Word of God to determine if someone else is saved or not as I cant judge if it is going to rain tomorrow or not. Jesus said to Peter regarding John "what is it to you? you follow me" I see the evidence...

"If you could lose your salvation, you would."

The OP is a theological argument to back Calvinism's stance from my understanding. I believe Jesus will lose none of those who "belong" to Him.

"If you could lose your salvation, you would."

Jesus will lose none the Father has given him. My mind is getting stuck between Calvinism (God's doing) and Arminianism (Man's responsibility). Lean not on my own understanding.

"If you could lose your salvation, you would."

The body dies in the first death. The second death has no power over those who belong to Christ Jesus, therefor everlasting?

It doesn't begin at baptism? John 3:36 What is eternal life?

"If you could lose your salvation, you would."

John MacArthur is a Calvinist right? TULIP. Do Calvinists believe that salvation is entirely God's work and that "choice" is not possible. E.g. Predetermined to be saved, elect

    Please pray fro me

Hi Sister, First you're saved because you believe in Jesus Christ. See here for spiritual warfare: in a bad place - worthless I was listening to Revelation 3:14-22 yesterday and your post reminded me of the Laodiceans: Look at His promise for those who have said similar (need of nothing)...

    Weak to the knees.

When they knocked my sister said "Mormons are here", I though I'll handle this with apologetics. When I saw it was the JW's, I though the same - handle with apologetics. I also saw they aren't my enemy (flesh and blood) and I love them. I felt I was rushing them to the point, by cutting to...
