Glad you mentioned Jesus was talking to the deciples in that scripture, and that he gave them specific things for a specific purpose.

I think most of us would fall short if we use that defintition. I don't know too many Christians that are truly Monk like, I know Im not.

Seems to me the scripture is more about the grumbling than it is talking about someone behind their back.
I can think of a few instances where talking about someone behind there back may be necessary, or done in order to do good, or help someone.
Not sure how those who went with a non paper trail, ever even thought they could get away with it.

As mantioned, the law wasn't my concern, but though I'm likely not going to defend them in the area you mention, I won't try to make a case that they should not have certian legal rights.
I don't think they should be allowed to adopt kids, and their may be some other legal rights I disagree...

My comment actually had nothing to do with support of the legal tense, but the moral. Most Atheists support them, and some Christians.
It's like the gays say they don't like fundamentalists because they belive in what's fundumental...
They are often attacked here for their views on gays.
As to the believers and unbelievers alike, I notice there are some of both here that defend the gay lifestyle....unfortunately.
I'd say the fundamentalists views on homosexuality either is, or at the very least, is one of the main reasons...
