Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

Yeah, I know this is in the Bible, but try on Romans 9 ... where God creates some for His glory and some for destruction. Great topic to be researched. All through the Bible, God says: I will bless who I want to, and I will curse who I want to.

    once saved always saved?

People who don't understand this are spiritual morons (whether they happen to be born-again or not). They are simply deceived and are following false churches, pastors, doctrines, etc. Basically, Satan has done this through the churches.

Romans tells it like it is, but can you handle the truth?

CC refuses repeatedly to show why the anti-OSAS verses are NOT such! How can anyone be allowed to be a member here ... who adamantly is not willing to look at both sides ... be allowed to continually harass people who are willing and open? I'm not willing to put up with such people, and...

Does God Honor Man's "Free Will"?

Maybe I don't understand what you're saying. God did leave them to their choices. Eve chose to mess up first, and Adam chose to follow her lead. And they (and we) suffered greatly because of their free-will choices. IMO, God makes it very difficult for a born-again believer to choose to leave...

Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

It's the same old story ... OSASers refuse to deal with the many anti-OSAS passages! By "deal", I mean show why they are NOT anti-OSAS passages. Simple.

Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

Sure ... many years ago, a world-famous Spirit-filled evangelist did a deep study on this and came to the conclusion that "pisteous" (or however it is spelled) in the NT means: believe, have faith, trust, obey. He concluded that it couldn't mean anything else! And I couldn't give a fig about...

Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

Don't know if this will work for you because it doesn't work for anyone else. lol Please note that Ephesians was written ONLY to the "faithful" saints (1:1) who were sittin' in the church at Ephesus! Paul was NOT writing to the unfaithful ones who were part of the church. Or, perhaps you don't...

Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

Hey, that's what you always say when you use somethin' of mine. Except to do with pre-trib ... been raptured yet? How's the olde memory these days? Keep up the good work, bro'.

    once saved always saved?

Here I go again ... Dearest CC, We of the anti-OSAS brigade do not ignore the supposed-OSAS verses, nor do we say they are lies ... for they are Scripture. But, we also do not ignore the many dire warnings given to the churches. You have been asked before ... please take some of our...

    once saved always saved?

Does God warn that "all liars" will be cast into the lake of fire? Yes. Revelation 21:8 So, if you are a habitual liar, beware! And, if you are a habitual sinner of any kind, beware! (Revelation 21:8, and the other "sin list" passages found in 1 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians)

Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

Bro, thou hast reduced the effectiveness of my analogy. I said, if a father gives his gift of a car to his son, and the son really misuses it, the father will take the car back.

Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

Jesus explained in 2 parables in Matthew 13 ... -- BOTH the wheat and the tares exist in the kingdom of God(heaven), basically indistinguishable. -- Jesus plants the wheat (who are righteous), while Satan plants the tares (who are evil)!

Romans tells it like it is, but can you handle the truth?

No one is talking about keeping the Law of Moses except you. Jesus says if you love Him, thou wilt keep (obey) His commands! 1 John says if you practice righteousness, thou art righteous! and etc.

James says faith without works is dead.

I believe a Christian can have an assurance of their salvation right here and right now in the present ... because they know they are doing what they should be doing re: being a true Christian, a true follower of Jesus Christ. They have a personal relationship with Father God and Jesus Christ...

James says faith without works is dead.

I have come to believe that to remain "in Christ" is to be walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh. No one who is habitually sinning is "in Christ". No one who is habitually sinning is in the faith any longer. Because if they do not sincerely repent and return to the faith, they will be lost...

Against OSAS: some of the best warnings to the churches!

Hebrews 3:1 "Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling ..." I can't figure out who the writer of Hebrews was writing to! Winken says they were not Christians. Can someone help me?

Romans tells it like it is, but can you handle the truth?

The NT Scriptures make it perfectly clear that salvation is a process! Salvation is a life-long process ... not a one-time deal. The born-again believer can (and may) choose to walk away from God's free gift of grace ... at any time before his death (but not after his death, lol). Man is not a...

    once saved always saved?

Perhaps it's time to post again ... what the Lord has to say about lying in the OT and NT. The verses are very condemning! Now, as always, I am talking about habitual unrepentant liars! If a born-again one does this, he/she will be cast into hell. Scripture promises this, not me.

Romans tells it like it is, but can you handle the truth?

We surely would save a lot of time ... if we would deal with the verses in the OP. How about showing that these verses do NOT disprove OSAS ... instead of just ignoring them, i.e. rejecting them! Is this too much to ask?
