OK, I don't want to misinterpret you, but are you saying that you follow Christianity not necessarily because it's the correct religion, but rather because it's the religion that you feel the most comfortable with?

I suppose it was targeted more toward fundamentalists, but I didn't intend ridicule. I think the question works for anyone for different reasons based on differing perspectives.

I don't know what kind of Christian "gotcha" sites you get your information from, but I have studied the Bible. I never took away from it that Abraham "knew" he would be stopped from killing Issac. He had faith, but he didn't know and would have killed Issac had he not been stopped.

Are you saying that Abraham wouldn't have killed Issac if he hadn't been stopped? If that's the case, what's the point of the story?
