I just read about this.. Christians being beheaded, even children, hunted down, raped, etc.. I would say that is as extreme as it gets as far as persecution. :(

If promoting kindness, even to promiscuous sinners is grounds for being banned... I'm quite disappointed in myself for still being able to log on.

I'm saying his behavior, while very unsettling, is likely a projection of how he is being treated by people around him.

Habits are just internalized passive acts, they are good/bad depending on the act we are unconsciously doing.

He obviously isn't feeling loved or accepted. He should be seeing a therapist... he needs to be accepted for who he is, and anyone who says he needs to change is going to leave a deep scar on his psyche.

That is exactly what Mormons believe. There is a segment dedicated to remembering his sacrifice every worship session.

That depends if you are a Mormon or not. Mormon's believe they are Christians, but Christians believe Mormons worship false gods. Since I read and believed in the Bible while growing up, I considered myself a Christian.

I give everyone the same response. Find someone who treats you the way you know you deserve to be treated. If you're in a relationship and you think you could be treated better, then you can do better. :)

Having a "want" that is going unfulfilled. Monks are known to sit and meditate for hours on end... but they don't get bored because they have trained themselves to not want.

I used to feel the same as you. I thought, maybe it's just the neighborhood or the specific building. So I tried different neighborhoods and eventually, different denominations. I realized it was because I had deep-rooted core beliefs that conflicted with the Christian culture and it's...
