From one newbie to another - Welcome!

My wife grew up Pentecostal, and I believe this was called being "slain in the spirit." As a teen she had no idea what she was doing or the reason for its practice; it persisted as some type of mass hysteria (according to her). Its origins seems related to some non-Christian cultural practices...

I visited today (10:30) and it wasn't what I expected. It didn't seem very far off from a "traditional" mainline service. The pastor wore vestments, there was a standard order of service, etc. They sang "warm up" hymns with acoustic guitars before the service during which I sat in contemplation...

I heard some recordings on Youtube of the "contemporary" band. They were, uh ... well I think their hearts are in the right place. ;) As a musician myself I may be a tad hypercritical.

That's a good question. It could be that, like the radio in my Nissan, it is backlit (tinted, if you will) with an amber glow. Others may be backlit blue or maybe even green! But who knows? radioTint could be a simple anagram, too. :liturgy:
