Would online cheating count as adultery?

Thank you all for your input. I don't have any plans to dive into another relationship anytime soon. Yes, there are more problems on both our ends for sure.

Would online cheating count as adultery?

I agree, it does take two people. Here are some examples of things he has had a problem (with me) over the years: * my refusal to get a boob job * my belief that we should share in decision making when it comes to finances (he thinks he should have ultimate say because he is the only one who...

Would online cheating count as adultery?

At this point, I can't answer that question. I have never seen him pray at home, nor has he ever wanted to join me in my own prayers or in Bible study outside of church. He may have his own way of relating to God, but he has never shared it with me. His only concern in this whole process is...

No problem. I wasn't clear on that. Hindsight is 20/20 as they say. I was not a Christian when I married him and I had no moral qualms about divorce before, so it wasn't something on my mind until recently. This was not a subject I started studying and praying about until recently. *sigh*

I pray for him daily, multiple times a day, that he gets the help he needs. Despite our ending I want him to get well for the sake of our children. I don't think the reality of the situation has dawned on him yet, and probably won't until everything is final and I've moved out.

Would online cheating count as adultery?

Since I last replied here, I have seen a lawyer and plan on filing for divorce. He has zero interest in working on our relationship anymore and he wasn't even all that upset when I told him I wanted to divorce. Since then he's already been on dating sites (not just adult 'play' sites) and...

Would online cheating count as adultery?

I did not discover he had been doing this while we were together and into the early part of our marriage until I stumbled upon his AdultFriendFinder account after we had only been married for six months. I could easily see the account had been active for more years than we had been together...

    Women--modesty question?

If you are comfortable in the dress, I think it is perfectly fine!

Would online cheating count as adultery?

Thank you ValleyGal. So far he still seems reluctant to get help, although he has booked an appointment with a new therapist. He went through AA many years ago, but instead of solving the addiction problem, he replaced alcohol with inappropriate content and virtual sex. As I said in my reply to Goodbook, this...

I'm kind of thinking this is his camp now. *sigh*

Would online cheating count as adultery?

These are my thoughts, but being a new Christian I wasn't entirely sure. Oh he has never prayed with me outside of church. He just doesn't. I don't know what his personal prayer life is like, but I feel very alone in wanting us to say grace at meals, and have regular prayer times as a...

Would online cheating count as adultery?

My in-laws I would say are Christian-leaning agnostics, meaning my MIL will go to church occasionally but mostly does not. I never talked with them about this even though my MIL and I are pretty close and have a great relationship. All this blew up again, and he had even less regard for my...

Would online cheating count as adultery?

Actually he does identify as Christian and has ever since we met. He has been doing this even before we met (his admission), and never stopped while we were dating, or when we got married. I actually converted to Christianity in 2014. I pray for him, I've tried to change my own behavior even...

Would online cheating count as adultery?

To make a long story short, for many years I have been dealing with my husband's sex addiction. He will spend hours and hours on the computer messaging other women for photos. I've also caught him on AdultFriendFinder, alt.com, among others. We would have a big fight, he would promise to get...

Anglican vs Baptist: What is the Difference in Their Beliefs?

Thank you for this post! I wasn't really raised Christian even though the majority of my relatives identify as Southern Baptist. I did attend a Southern Baptist church with a friend during high school for a bit but my memories of those times are somewhat fuzzy. There seemed to be a consensus...

Anglican vs Baptist: What is the Difference in Their Beliefs?

Thank you for the reply. :) I'll be visiting some Baptist relatives soon who love to ask questions and I wanted to come prepared.

Anglican vs Baptist: What is the Difference in Their Beliefs?

Baptists do not believe in infant baptism, and only consider full-immersion baptisms at a consenting age to be valid. Baptists do not believe in apostolic succession, and have a much looser heirarchy within their faith tradition than the Anglican/Episcopalian heirarchy of deacons, priests and...
