It would be very unusual to celebrate the Lord’s Supper at a wedding. We wouldn’t do that in our fellowship, as some of the guests may not be Christian. It would exclude them and that would be quite rude.

It was hard-Core Anglican. Apart from the national anthem at the end, it could have been in my church. And the guest list, of course.

Even our old folks are gestureless, so I doubt they were drilled in Sunday School back in the 50s.

What exactly is a homily? We have a sermon in our church which runs for about 30 minutes. I have only been to church family weddings, and the sermon is about 15 minutes. It might be shorter for “tourists”.

We don’t do any of those gestures in my C of E church or the SEC I go to. I would say it’s quite rare.
